Also, what's the best way to send out a message to the steam group? Like... if I just got through playing my first couple Killing Floor games and realized it's probably easier/more fun with more people?

Never heard about Valve forcing someone to put DRM on it, except for Steam and VAC that is.

I'm thinking of Deus Ex.  I recently got pissed off because they moved the normal deusex.exe into deusex.dll, and put a small DRM module as deusex.exe, which causes mods to not install.  This on a game where you almost need to mod it to get it happy with modern computers.

For others, I had to download an illegal copy of the non-Steam .exe from some random website.

But I guess a lot of this is fixed by now, according to some other threads.

Anyway, back when, it truly frustrated me.

Bought L4D2 and M&B:WB, such good deals... I have my eye on the THQ pack... only #£26 for some games I always wish I had gotten.

But then again I want to buy Red Dead Redemption(PS3) to play with my RL friends

Man, this sale is so tempting.  So many games I've wanted to play, so cheap.  I've already bought 10 games, yet I've barely spent $50.  I already got that CivIV pack when it was on sale a while ago; wish I had waited.

I also picked up L4D2.  Steam name: Freylock with a y.  Helps with pronunciation.

The only thing that ticks me off about the sale is the download time: everyone's buying so many games and the server's getting clogged with all the fresh downloads.  Still, a sacrifice I'd gladly make for Half Life at $2.
