Yup, I noticed all that myself. That being said, I still don't know how to do networking much at all, really. Even if I did, I don't have server hosting. Somebody else would have to host it.

I might be better off, as a starter project, mucking about the LCS source. I dunno. *shrugs*

My preferred way to play this is very low-maintenance. Plant some seeds, let the trees age for a while, and then hire a worker with good forestry to chop them down for you. I generally wait until I hit 1 year old on the trees, then you can get 2 pieces of wood and 4 or 5 seeds per tree. Depending on luck, you can generally make a net increase on seeds this way, without the grind of feeding seeds to idols. Plus, this way I only play the game an hour or two every few days. Keeps me from getting too bored of it.

Yeah, that's really the only way to play seriously. At higher levels, you're going to have to start sacrificing thousands of Balsam Fir seeds for a single measly tree seed, then hundreds of thousands, then millions, billions... getting seeds with idols is no longer sustainable.

For example, even if you had a macro constantly digging holes to generate Balsam Fir seeds at 100 seeds per second (a truly ridiculous rate), a single Redwood seed (only level 16!) would take you longer than the age of the universe.

So, how's everyone doing? I recently got to 100 Whittling skill! I'm up to planting Willow trees, and with them, I've got a Mole Shovel waxed with Willow Sap, which has 10 power. I made a lot of money off of cutting down Cottonwoods, turning them into planks, turning the planks into Outhouses, and selling them - I now have about 10,000 gold. I also have some pretty good farming skill, but I'm far from being able to farm radishes at 100%. Sigh.

I'm about where you are, Cheddar... 92 Whittling, willow trees, and a 10 power shovel. Haven't focused much on farming though, and I'm growing way more Cottonwoods than willows.

You mean selling the sap? Sap doesn't really make a lot of money. I mostly use it for waxing shovels, and you can also use it for waxing fencing, in which case you want the highest level you can get, of course.

I now have CRAPLOADS of sap. Like...4000 +2 Level 2 sap.
and like 9000 +2 Level 1 sap.
