Funny, a firemaking kit was to be the first order of business.

Name: Jim is shorter, so you can just use that.

Stats:--
Intelligence: 3
Perception: 1
Strength: 1
Speed: 0
Constitution: 0

Skills:--
Botany (identifying plants and whatnot) - 40%
Woodcrafting - 40%
Orienteering - 40%
Fishing - 40%
Survival - 20%

Inventory:--
General clothes; primarily cotton, with leather gloves, boots, and cap.

Carving knife
Monocular
Leather-bound logbook; partially filled with notes.

Location:--
I'm fairly impartial to this. Whatever's good with everyone else and isn't completely silly is fine by me.

Any changes will have to be later. Early morning tomorrow, have to grab some sleep for now.

While I can see th awesomeness of having a monkey with an eye patch, how exactly will it help you survive? Wouldn't you prefer to have, say, a piratey flintlock pistol?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Hows that?
well i would like it to not be heavily combat themed
manipulate rope would fit into pirating
and no monkey eye patches
of course you might want to make sure other people have survival skills useful in early game
EDIT: Speed will be replaced with dexterity

No, I rather liked the system, I just feel as if people might have needed an example, or further embellishment. It is versatile yet still fairly simple.

I like to slip into bear caves around midnight and gently caress the carnivore inside before leaving a small cut of fresh fish and sneaking out.

The prospect of perpetual nudity is strangely alluring, if exceptionally impractical...

...No I'll edit it I suppose.
