People just poke fun at you (Deathworks) because of your posting style (which is either induced by OCD or you trying to irk everybody (or, worse, you think it's actually cool. D: )) and your creepy avatar.

People poke fun at Armok because he consistently tells us how awesome and intelligent he is, while telling the rest of us that we're immoral idiots.

One of you deserves to be knocked down a notch once in a while. I think it might as well be the narcissist.

I'll admit, one of my pet peeves is people that have macro-posting styles. After 30 some odd replies, does every post need to start with "Hi!"

I mean...I'm kind of living for the day when I see:

"Hi!"

"Fuck you."

"Deathworks."

That's part of it, it's just how Deathworks organizes his posts. There was a giant shitstorm about it in months past on the forums. Don't open it back up.

See, I think furries are weird. To some extent, Deathworks, you just add to that general view I have of them as odd. But you're a nice enough fellow so I don't speak ill of you. It even helps my view that you don't go around offensively about it like I've seen other furries do and spam porn all over the forums and posting in ALL CAPS about how they're not accepted. So it's just another quirk people have.

Hi!

Huesoo: The bolding has too primary functions:

1. Making important words easy to find (especially in longer posts) so people can respond easily to individual points or locate information/arguments they want to get into detail after reading the whole more easily.
2. Marking user names. Personally, I believe that talking about people behind their back is not really a good thing. Therefore, I try to mark user names using bold face so that they can easily see that I am talking about them and thus correct any incorrect statements I may have made.

Well, the emoticon is meant to express emotion, I guess (^_^;;
This one expresses somewhat being embarrassed or feeling odd about something. I mean, in the previous post, I didn't notice someone was trying to ruffle me up until the site owner contacted me about that - usually such things work the other way around. I guess you could call me dense there.

ChairmanPoo: Since I missed half of the action, I can't say for sure, but it seems that they were people who got enraged by my style of posting.

Deathworks

EDIT: (I posted this without including these before because people were posting too fast and I wanted to get this posted today)

Grakelin: I think of the options you offer, OCD comes closest to my reasoning.

Nenjin: :) :) :) :) :)

Actually, if I wanted to say "Fuck you!", I would probably not place the "Hi!" in front of the post in order to indicate an additional level of disrespect (as the "Hi!" is a token of respect in my eyes).

So, the best you can hope for would be:
Quote
Drop dead!

Deathworks

:) :) :)

But I highly doubt that someone will push me to make such rather crude and inappropriate statements.

KaelGotDwarves: Actually, you are touching upon a pet peeve of mine: I am not a furry and I would rather not be associated with them as a) they tend to have rather different interests, b) they are a group that has a bad reputation (I can not judge whether that is deserved or not).

I like Deathworks's posting style, because it makes the orwellian editing all the more funny.

And considering it's a thread about trolling, mission fucking accomplished.  Or totally failed, depending on your definition of trolling.  Fission mailed I guess.

My apologies, you just have a strange affinity for catpeople. That was my assumption.

This whole post is just proof of the fact that Nikov is the greatest troll of all time.

Hi!

My apologies, you just have a strange affinity for catgirls.

Ah! I wasn't angry at you or anything. I can understand how people who are not interested in any of it can get confused about that, and I can't really blame them. Thus, there is not really something for you to apologize for.

Basically, I like Japanese catgirls and Japanese monstergirls, so it is not surprising for you to make that assumption. I just hope that you can keep in mind that I am not a furry.

Thank you for your understanding.

Deathworks style IS awesome, and rather endearing/kawai, in my opinion. I like people having personal posting styles that give an identity beyond name, sig and avatar.

Also, I realize I might sometimes undershot the socially acceptable standard of humility, but I really think honesty is more important, and my main talent and area of study IS philosophy, and the myth that it's an area where everyone opinion is equally valid gets incredibly frustrating.

I wouldn't say Nikov is a troll. As I said many pages ago, he is easily the most conservative forum member here. There is a definate liberal majority here, so opinions clash hard.

It would have been helpful if he had given his own definition of trolling at some point though.  Ideological motivation does skew vehement disagreement into personal attack, both ways running.
