This thread reminded me to call my Father, thank you.

Shit, it's father's day?

My dad's on his way home from Europe. Eh, I'll brofist him or something once he gets back.

I'm not big on the whole card thing. I'd rather talk to someone, I guess.

Cards are so conformists *hairswish*

My dad enjoys musical cards. I work at a store where I can get a staff discount on musical cards. I think the result of these two things being combined leads to the inevitable conclusion of what I did for Father's Day.

You quit and got your boss to offer the job to your dad. That's nice!

I'll brofist him

Now there's a word that probably needs to be re-thought.

Fatherfist?
I know it has a pretty specific meaning ... but it, along with "bromance" just sound rather... gay.

Called my dad, got the answering machine, left him a message.

Thanks to my workplace acting as an enormous faraday cage (and my current phone turning into utter crap), I didn't get his return message until after I clocked out. Mind you, there's a massive delay in receive times.

Nice to know things are still going well.

Every year, I wonder what my father will do to annoy everyone else on Father's Day. This one was the "best" yet. He got me to come back to Maine to visit, then spent the entire day using Father's day as an excuse to make me do everything. But meh, I have two months to get back at him. That's how it always works.

Oh hell. I forgot to call my father. We have a somewhat strained relationship anyways, and that's not going to help.

Ah well, I was too busy with my own kids.
