Ugh... its my second month in the fort, and this forgotten steam beast suddenly arrives inside.
He doesn't do anything, but I can't kill/chase it away either. Half the population is stuck on hold just because the steam beast decides to take a nap in the central staircase. I've tried almost everything, including trying to cave it in and stuff, but nothing works (miners are afraid of it even in different z-levels). Only thing left is trying to floodwash it out of the fort, but its gonna ruin the magma forges...
What am I to do?

We have lots of weapons, but dude he's made of "steam". Weapons don't work against steam last time I checked.

Year 1: Meanmelter
Year 2: Lafiel
Year 3: Arni
Year 4: noodle0117
Year 5: LordSlowpoke (?)
Year 6: Malicus

Year 10:

When rereading I've seen that LordSlowpoke has deleted edited his post... If this means he's down, then Malicus would be next and we'd have 3 free slots.

In my fort, it is 6 years into it. And I have yet to see any threat. Other than a horde of Yeti's I saw.

Kind of weird. But now that you mention it, in the other forts I've tried in .06 and mainly .08 there seems to be a considerably lower enemy level than in 40d. The cavern fauna somehow make up for it, though.
