Michigan #2 here. Well, our radio is shared with Windsor, Ann Arbor's liberality off setes the conservatism of Texas, Lousiana, Mississipi, Alabama, and Georgia combines, 5 miles south and another 6 east from my hous and you get the northwest city of Homeless Jobless Criminal Black People, Michigan.

The hockey, Jim Joyce's blown call, hockey, a hockey rivalry with Pittsburg, twice as much Sindey Crosby hate as anywhere else in the country, hockey, horrible football, cars, unemployment, vacant lots, black people, Eminem, hockey, a short drive from lowering the drinking age by two years, lakes, hockey, more lakes, Due North of Canada, hockey, and... well, that's about it.

And then the Yoopers. Oh, God, they're like a new state. Well, they're similar to rednecks, but different.

Having lived in the chicago burbs for years...

Illinois is that state with Chicago and nothing else. Anything south of I-80 is "southern Illinois" and people I met from Southern IL in Springfield spoke with Southern drawls. So that stereotype will always be true for me.

I actually live in a slightly remodeled house and don't personally own a car. Though Milly has this old Diesel powered clunker and Vicky has a Truck.
