Legendary Architect.

I can stand in one spot and suddenly a 3d model of stuff appears when I just think hard enough. It's...helpful, at the very least.

Looks like we have a whole fortress here already, with lots of peasants, brokers, masons, smiths and disturbing lack of carpenters and craftsdwarves.
Sadly, I do not have a skill that translates easily into DF - my profession is scientist and I also work as a college teacher.

You could be the Dwartificial Intelligence - AKA the Dwarf that is isolated from all the other Dwarves but controls the entire fortress with a system of levers. Not sure how that is related to science, though. Maybe you could be a mad scientist and pull the lever that floods the entire fortress?

And then the heroes foil his plan and the fortress goes on red alert to save most of the fortress?

And saucy dwarven femme fatales trying to stop Urist McBond.

I'm starting to get an urge to mod laser beams onto the heads of sharks.

I would probably be a Marksdwarf, I'm a fair shot with a gun.

Yarn, being our Marksdwarf, will be renamed Urist McSneakyTux. As Always will be our Urist McGadgeteer, because of his skill with metals. Quantum Toast gets the role of Urist McBigBad. Murphy will be Urist McMadScientist (dealing with kids will do that to you.) I'll lead a rag-tag militia to their doom as we distract Quantum and Murphy from unleashing the laser sharks and zombie craftsdwarves on the world, and then we all get to have popcorn while we watch Yarn save...huh. I haven't figured that one out. Who wants to be the damsel with the full, lush beard?

Well, I'm an avid martial artist, including a second degree black belt and 13 years of hopping between styles at random. I'm a Nidan in Ninjutsu, an instructor in Muay Thai and Savate/Kickboxing. I also studied Kendo and Iaido. I'm not bad with a bow and arrow, although I've never fired a crossbow. Aside from cooking and brewing, I'm really not good for much else in the way of DF skills.

So..I guess that makes me a combo Swordsdorf/Wrestler/Fighter?

I think the word you're looking for is Elf

A miner, because I like being useful and no one else has mentioned it yet.

Sure, I'd be an Elf, except that I'm a short, fat, hairy guy with a fondness for rum, soap, and steel. And I can't eat most plants, due to an inability to digest complex fiber. And I do my best to stay indoors whenever possible because I detest insects.

The dwarf that I'd be, as related by DF.

Given a preference, I'd be a mechanic or siege engineer. in all likelihood? Probably a peasant that gets conscripted into the military and is the first one to know of a goblin attack via arrow-to-face syndrome.

I'd be a mechanic or siege engineer, who also has skills in wrestling, as well as dabbling in sword.  (I am a martial artist, and I just got a sword)

If there is a skill applying to music, I would be very good at that as well.  Lets just say, expert in saxophone and bass clarinet, and talented in conducting.
