I love designing and (Only very rarely) trying to build stuff.

I could take a swing at mechanic, but since I'd be only useful for my knowledge of computational logic I imagine there would be little demand for my services.

Alternately, I could easily fill the role of Philosopher. I don't need anything fancy, and I don't really do anything other than think. Especially if DF Philosophers are like RL Natural Philosophers, who were combination thinkers/scientists.

And if the dwarves actually NEEDED a fortress designer, I'd be all over that.

I guess no one would take on the role of chief medical dwarf or doctor. After all, do anyone here have a doctorate in surgery here? Then again, the dorfs clearly haven't got any themselves 

I've got medical training, though not a doctorate, so I guess I'd be Chief Medical Dwarf with Talented Diagnostician, Dabbling Surgeon, Novice Bone Doctor, Competent Suturer and Expert Wound Dresser. Also Adequate Herbalist and High Master Alchemist.

Psychology = the Mayor, I suppose, since he counsels dwarves and listens to their problems. Though I'm really more science oriented...there's not really a dwarven equivalent.

I'd like to be the metalsmith or another type of craftsdwarf, or else a ranger.

It all depends. I'll vote for you if you don't demand that we make something with a material that's not on the map (at least yet, anyway.)

I'd be philosopher/mechanic/engraver/bookkeeper.
Very frequently, I find myself lost in thought.
And I draw schematics and build things, sometimes drawing normal art.
Also, I write, but dwarves don't have writers, so bookkeeper would be the closest option.

I'd love to be my namesake; a platemail-clad warhammer-wielding Champion, but as I'm about as physically fit as a dead cat, I'd probably be book/record keeper. I'm pretty decent at math and english.
