Creative Children!
« on: June 17, 2010, 07:55:35 am »

Currently, there is no difference between the secret moods of adults and children, this leads to children only creating rock crafts, and becoming legendary stonecrafters. Perhaps children should be special, so that they chose a completely random "moodable" skill, and have a mood of that type. Children are (atleast as far as I can recall) regarded as rather creative, and should not limit themselves to only stonecrafting.

This also becomes an issue in old forts, where you have a large amount of kids, you would eventually end up with most of your moods becoming stonecrafter moods, something that takes away a lot of the "ooooh!" feeling from moods. Whenever a kid gets a mood, my first thought is "meh.. another one to be drafted once he grows up."

Perhaps this should be changed?

I have a tendency to not build craftsdwarf workshops ever for this very reason.

Yes. Clearly a bug that ought to be fixed in the future, but exploit it in the meantime.

Aescula: *snerk*  Just thought of a picture I saw a long tome ago...
Darth Guy: A long, long tome ago, in a library far, far away?
