Strange dream

So, I had a strange dream last night about a futuristic complex that was totally run by automated systems. Everything was going fine, right up until somehow, and I'm not quite clear on how this happened, the AI stumbled across Dwarf Fortress. It redefined "fun" for itself and started murdering everyone in the complex, all the while flashing a cheery message across all of its screens about how losing is fun. For some reason...I really enjoyed this dream. Not in the perverse sense, mind you...it just kind of made me giggle a little.

I think between DF and TvTropes, my brain is irrevocably broken. Maybe I need more/stronger meds.

I think watching the Portal 2 trailer while playing Dwarf Fortress makes you "wOrk For ScIEnce".

Strange dreams could be put into DF. The dwarves could then dream about a fortress of dwarves being exposed to various Fun.

Then they could engrave those images on the walls! And...you'd have lots of interesting things to read about how disturbed your dorfs are.

Maybe that's where all those "dwarves eating cheese while embracing cows" engravings come from.
