I apologize. I did not mean to make fun of your question - I just saw it, and it... inspired me to ask a question that I thought would amuse people. The intent was for peoples' enjoyment, not to demean your question, which, I think, would not be unfair or anything (unless you happened to bring a fire axe with you or whatnot, which might be against the rules because you're probably not supposed to have any useful items).

I was under the impression drawbacks were just to spice characters up. That is basically what the book said.

They spice up and allow you to take more skills and attributes.  But attributes are expensive, so you can't go overboard.

I couldn't resist it. It's just that in the last Zombie Forum Game(on another forum) a player actually had such an character. At the beginning of the apocalypse. before anyone knew about it. in a public bus. in the middle of detroit...

That makes sense, I guess, if a bit unfair when there are a bunch of worthless drawbacks you can throw in for free points. It's up to the ZM to make them count, I suppose.
