Well, The arena right now is a little boring, save the lower right, and I was wondering if there were any custom arena setups people have made. Any at all would be cool.

Mind you the arena was made for modders to test out stats of items, creatures, materials, behaviors, etc.

Not for people to play around (well, I guess you can play around in it.)


The arena is hardcoded, so you can't modify it.
If you wanted to make a "custom" arena, you can try making it in a dwarvenly way.

Look for a text file name arena in the init folder. You can modify the arena by messing around with that.

I know, I've already made some very slight alterations to it, but I was wondering if anyone totally revamped it.

A guy called Pubby made a Custom Arena Creator which takes 8 images and compiles them into an arena file. Might be helpful. There is a maze map a few posts down.

I know that there are ways to get windows programs to work on Mac's, something like "Wine" I've heard of, although that might be just for linux.

Wine will work after some other complex maneuvering is performed on macs. They do have to be the new intel processor macs though. Those of us on the old PowerPC processors are just plain out of luck.

I'm not interested in getting Wine or Darwine to work on my computer, (I lack X11), I just want some arena mods. Maybe a castle or something, I dunno.
