Also, I was about to try hosting, and then somebody told me to turn on relay host (whatever the fuck that is) but that essentially makes it so that the game lobby never appears, so what's the point?

Ok! I got the engine downloaded, and the BA inside the engine.


Now I need maps. Do you have to download them by joining a game, or is there a direct list that you can browse?

Plus, it seems the big maps are around 32 mb....so I wont be joining the big maps due to that taking forever.

When you're at the server list, choose the 'only mods I have' and then click on servers with maps you don't have. In the bottom left you get the option to download them. If oyu do that enough then you'll eventually have the most common maps

Just don't download more than like 6 at a time or else the lobby might crash

There's also a website to download maps but I dunno what it is, probably at the spring website

I suppose when I host I don't lag with 8 players, but when everybody is screaming at me about stupid bullshit it puts me off quite a bit.

I see a "Bay 12 alpha" game, but the "Bay12" password isn't being accepted. Did we change the password? I don't see any mention of it in the past few pages.

Hmm, thanks, but im not exactly clear on the instructions. Where is the server list? I also found a work around. Join a game, exit out of the battle application thingy, but leave the autodownload map up. Hopefully I should have fields of iris downloaded overnight. Also, isnt that a map off of Supreme Commander?

"Edit" Bleh, it failed, timed out or something. Will have to check out the website.
