I still find the image of a squad of marksdwarves charging into melee combat swinging their crossbows hilarious.

EDIT: ranged weaponry fixed as of .09 http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/

I'm sure it'll work. And if it doesn't crossbow/hammer dwarfs for the win! They stole some steel armor, too, even though I TOLD them to use leather, so they're well equipped.
