Alternatively, we do still need a carpenter. I think we already have a mason, anyways?

It also looks like Caveravens is winning. 8)

To all entrants: remember, a story with pictures is 10x more interesting than a wall of text, unless said wall is banded with humor and menaces with spikes of intrigue. But pictures still help!

I don't blame Caveravens for winning, it's an epic name. But I chose Calmgates because we were gonna be going on a haunted place and it just seemed to be the exact opposite of what the fort was gonna be.

I personally just think it sounded the best. It has nice assonance.

Also, could I change the name to Doctor Zed? Gotta represent Canada.

Okay, Kipi, do you want to change your profession (preferably to Mason)? Woodcutting isn't going to be really useful. We're going to be real dorfs and work with stone!

Yea, fine to me. Though don't count on me staying in mason profession forever.  ;)

I expect you'll be the dispenser of justice, actually.

I'm considering mixing up the turn order, since we've got a whole bunch of newbies starting off the fort, and our more experienced players come later. I'd rather have it be a bit closer to newbie-expert-newbie, but I'd like some approval (and more knowledge of who's "expert") of it first before I step on peoples' toes.

I'm experienced in 40d, but for 2010, I'm a newbie. I'm also ok with being switched around a bit, too.

I could be considered as semi-expert with 2010. Newbie in succession games though.

I don't mind if the turns are mixed a bit.

I've been playing Dwarf Fortress for years now, and have a knack for 2010. I've created video tutorials and let's plays and stuff on it to help others out and they've gotten good reviews from the general populace, so I would say that I'm up there in the skill levels.

However, this IS technically my first succession game. So I'm a bit of a noob at that.
