You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Number two is nice and consistent, and one fails to account for increasing research ability, but I worry that two would further increase any disparities if someone had an edge in research, turning this into a bit of a landslide sort of game, but I suppose that that is what alliances are for...

The bomber returns from its spaceflight successfully. Those on board had managed to cobble together twelve drones, able to carry a light armament of missiles. For 2 IP, Techno may create a single drone squadron that functions as a 1/1/0/2 (Bomber). There are only enough drones for one squadron. The rescuees request that they be given civilian duties.

(I believe I mentioned it, but please include any units you expect to participate in combat in a section labled something like:

FORCES
Capital Garrison - 3x Turrets 2/2/0/0 (Land)

Fighting FORCES
 BATTLE 1 A1 Force 1 - 2x Scouts 1/1/0/1 (Land)
 BATTLE 2 C4 Force 2 - 1x Commando 6/1/0/3 (Land)

Thanks.

Now for a note on reassigning units to the control of another party:
The first party may state the terms that the units may be used for by the second party. Any other order will be rerouted to the first party, who will confirm/deny the order.
If they are given no specific terms, they won't reroute any orders.
They will never participate in an attack against the first party.
They may be reclaimed by the first party at any time. If they're ordered to attack party 2, they each miss their first attack as they re-establish their usual chain of command. They cannot be ordered to prepare to attack party 2 while under party 2's control. These soldiers tend to get drunk and talk, and so cannot be trusted with such plans.

Finally, Abcullater_2 did not submit a turn, despite having been on earlier and me having sent him a reminder PM previously.
He is up for replacement if he does not apologize. If you wish to try to replace him, post in the thread saying so. I'll leave that open for 48 hours or so for people following the thread, before I tell the person who PMed me asking about openings.)

It's too close to say with only 5 of 8 people having voted in the poll.

Sorry, I've just kinda lost interest in these role-playing forum games. They just aren't as fun as they used to be. If no one arrives to replace me before the next turn I'll try to get a turn in just so my civ isn't idle.

(For all those concerned, I'll still be playing Dawn of a New World)

Yeah, but in the thread it's 5 to 1. Even if both of the last two people voted towards option 1, option 2 would still win.

Very well.

For the one time cost of 50, you may now research Upgraded Laboratories. This unlocks the Science!!! technology, which is almost identical to Industry, except for increasing RP instead of IP.

Next poll is about missiles. As it is, there is very little reason to produce missiles. They're generally worthless compared to turrets.

Why is there a battle for B9 city? There's no city at B9...

I still have inspiring glows in I17, I thought that they were killed the turn that they were built...

What if missiles were granted 2 attack per point, the same as engines? The main value of missiles that I can see is that they allow you to target specific opponents. Letting you remove a colony from a large stack, or remove the defenders that have enough attack to kill your attackers in one turn?

And a flaming sword which turned every way
To keep the way of the tree of life.

Good work, Otu.

Hey Nirur, you charged RAM for giving me Armour 3, which I didn't accept.

As for missiles, I suggest they do splash damage. Comments on that?

No comment at the present time.

Undoing.

Killing.

Adding to poll.

New rule: Upgrading units will base the cost to upgrade on your current tech, rather then the cost of the unit when it was made.

Mrrrrrrrr.
I... don't really feel like playing this any more. I don't know why, exactly...

I'll see if this despondency dissipates before the turn comes up. If not, unfortunately, I might have to quit.
