To Nevyn:
Once again the dwarf arrives at the light-green Camp, leaves a note, then leaves themselves. Witnesses report that not much has changed, although some suspect that it has grown a beard in the intervening time.

"With the greatest of respect I must report that your aid is required to confront a growing Evil that has been sensed growing in a distant continent. A recent warp in the realities has left my folk confronted with a new and bizarre entity that appeared upon an island that was a popular recreational destination prior to the event. We shall investigate this matter further but cannot currently devote resources towards the imminent threat that we have sensed.

In the further interests of goodwill, I suggest that, should you find yourself in possession of colonisation skills capably of founding 3 separate colonies, my people would be willing to trade such for the knowledge required to produce thrice the standard yield from your industries.
"

Offering to trade with Nevyn, Industry 3 for Colonisation 3.
Obviously Nevyn would need to research it first, and then... pay 1 for industry, which would cost 5... Umm, next turn?

TO RAM//

A Small Drone floats into the main camp of the Blue 'Dwarven' Folk, its small frame vibrated as it hovered in the center of room, a small hatch on its upper hull lifted as a flicker of energy erupted outward before expanding into a large square. Static sounded from the 'screen' before it started to clear slightly but not enough to make out the figure that appeared in it...
The Message 'read' along the lines of Gratitude and Thanks for all assistance that the Dwarven Folk had presented and announced that they would be happy to assist when time allowed. Research was already beginning by the time the message finished yet before it shut off there was a small request...

"Our People wish to settle along the northern waters, we have noticed a unit of yours appearing to have halted there, we request that you move them so that there is not misunderstandings of Hostilities..."

The small drone closed its hatch as the screen flickered off before rotating on the spot and floating out of the camp...

Patrol Drone, Aircraft Design, 2/1/0/12 - 2+1+2+3??? (Someone please clearify this)
Airnode, Aircraft Design, Refueler, 0/1/0/6 - 1+2??? (Someone please clearify this)

To Nevyn
The dwarf returns carrying a large blue flag and leading a tall lady with an elegant blue dress and elongated ears. The lady introduces herself as an ambassador. "I have come to discuss the terms of the blue folk establishing a permanent settlement at the site currently occupied by our survey team. Our remaining documentation suggests that the original surveys granted it the title of D18. By the terms of the Cyan treaty we are not permitted to pass further into the continent, we had hoped that this would be deemed acceptable by the peoples of the green flag."

TO RAM//

A Man dressed robed in pastle colours of the different shades of green, though mainly of a lighter colour to each shade, approached the woman. His eyes were compleatly glazed over, disallowing him of his sight, yet he walked as if he knew where everything was and whom he was speaking to. Even his head moved as if to regard the Dwarf, flag and woman. A Small drone hovered beside him, and as he tapped its flat top a small gridded map flickered to life above it, revealing the continate on which they had settled, a cyan colour shaded the no mans land between the two cities. The drone shifted its location between the two...

"Our scans of the continaet revealed 2 things.
1// There are three optimal locations for settlement that does not require transportation over sea.
2// That of the 3 locations, two of which are avaible to both colonies."

The man touched three locations on the map, highlighting them, those locations were, D18 (the matter of discussion), M19 (A location with a questionable gain due to the Icecap located south of it) and  L22 (Located eastward of the Light Green's settlement...

"Now we do not wish to imbune hostilites so soon after an alliance was met, nor do we in the near future, but the locations of D18 and M19 are questionable, whom of the two colonies should gain 3 settlements on this Continate???" His head tilted in a questioning look, the unseeing eyes 'looking' for an answer...

Patrol Drone, Aircraft Design, 2/1/0/12 - 2+1+2+3??? (Someone please clearify this)
Airnode, Aircraft Design, Refueler, 0/1/0/6 - 1+2??? (Someone please clearify this)
Aircraft:
Fighters - 1 size cap per level, 3 engines per level
Bombers - 2 size cap per level, 2 engines per level

Refueling another aircraft mid-flight requires enough cargobay to hold the other aircraft, and is of questionable use.
Turn 1) Bomber 1 sent out carrying fighter.
Turn 2) Bomber launches fighter and returns to base, fighter destroys colonist.
Turn 3) Bomber and fighter return to the same square. Fighter docks with bomber, and is refueled.
Turn 4) See turn 2.

2/1/0/12 (Fighter) - 2 + 1 + (2+2+3=7) = 10 points, 10^2/2 = 50 IP

With going over the cap being cheaper, I'm going to increase the cost of entering or leaving orbit by air to 10 movement points each. Missiles remain the same.

This should allow for "normal" aircraft to last longer before becoming obsolete.

So if I reduce engines (fighter) from 12 to 9 it would be 2+1+(2+2+2) = 9pts... then 9^1/1??? = ???
Still not getting this sorry. Spell it out more so to me like the idiot I am...

Thats basicly how it would happen in reality... Actually it does, Fighters can refuel in midair and return to the battlefield faster then needing to RTB...

The formula for units that go over the size cap is (Points used)(Points used) / Size cap. 10^2 is another way of saying ten squared.

2+1+(2+2) = 7. 49/2 = 25 IP.

I think I got it...

Cause my Size limit is 2 and my engines are 2, I get to have 9 for the price of 4IP, that is because the first 2 points, 6En is 1 point each and the next is 2 pts.
Then your saying that points used is 7 which is then sqared before being divided by 2...

Is that the cost to Produce the Craft each turn though???

Also for the Carrier,
0/3/0/4 is 1+2+2 (for the base) then adding extra space, say 10 its then another 5pts? Meaning I will need 50IP to make the carrier...

(Gah, sorry. The colonist was supposed to go to D11, not C12 (and certainly not the nonexistent D12 :-[).)

Yes, each unit will have the same cost, until you improve your technology.

If I were to put attack on a bomber, what would that allow me to do?
