Thing is, they left it on a sequel hook, so, of course, I'm going to have to watch the next season because I like to watch these things all the way through. Cliffhangers drive me mad.
If it's a bad show, why not just assume everyone dies at the end and leave it at that?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

(removed the quote pyramids -- they do bad things to browsers and so on, so please don't post them)

It's a quote pyramid with Displacement cast on it, it should fix itself in a few minutes.

I'm curious, what are the "bad things" that pyramids ostensibly do to browsers? Has anyone actually experienced problems from them?

Slower browsers, reportedly, though the forum software shits itself (metaphorically) to process them.

(metaphorically)
You clearly have never worked in server maintenance.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Lags them to hell and back (might crash if there's a big enough pyramid), and yes.

software
Sooner or later, the abstraction runs out and an actual machine has to execute instructions.

... and then the machine shits itself because it doesn't understand the instructions. Probably. I don't actually know, I've never worked in server maintenance.

I think it happening because the machine does understand the instructions is the more common issue. Incomprehension just causes inaction, not excretion. Usually.

It's just that the instructions are really terrible.

It's like if you were told to run a five minute mile, a hundred times in a row, without stopping.

Sure, you know what the instructions are, and hell, if you're really fit (a high end computer) you could even do it! But that's not likely, and more likely is that you'll end up panting and wheezing and collapse within a short period.
