Or start at leavel 3, which seems a decent half way point. You're no longer quite so squishy, and your skills have started becoming more distinct, but no one is at world-breaker power levels.

My mouse looks like it's starting to fail on me. Sometimes scrolling up scrolls down.

Homebrew like you want to live. Level 1 warrior boring? Stuff in something that makes it not boring. Same for the rest of 'em.

Which is why my group alternates between home brew rule sets for our favorite genres and actual published RPGs about every other game. We're currently playing a homebrewed Carcossa using a lite version of the D&D 2E ruleset, and it's pretty amazing. Like spellcasters casting all spells as though they're level 6, right out of the box.

Dear Uni: Why, as someone in Biotech, I need to take goddamn Quantum Physics, when all the practically applicable uses have been covered?

I wouldn't mind learning stuff that much, but the course presumes faaaaaar more familiarity with stuff like vector-based mathematics and multi-dimensional calculus than anybody on the damn course has, since pretty much everyone is after the rough equivalent of AP in Biology and Chemistry instead of math/physics.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

At this point I'm pretty sure that my boss is deliberately fucking with me. I don't want to go into specifics, but I swear if he changes my assignment one more goddamn time I will ditch the truck and take a bus home.

For a somewhat easy to understand (I haven't got more than 30 pages, so it may toughen up later on) explanation of String Theory, I'd suggest Brian Greene, the Elegant Universe. The whole "Time is different" thing was confusing, so I tried to understand. Still trying :P

Maybe in the near future we'll discover that cells actually communicate through quantum tunneling and then you'll be right on the cutting edge. Maybe the university actually knows this because they have used the quantum tunneling to see the future

Markiplier is a Youtuber, and snapchat is a thing that sends pictures to people.

As such, I would like to know how that can add up to sexual harassment.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Ah. Well, the latter would be pretty obvious, wouldn't it? You'd think some gratuitous fraction of that program's use would be sending pictures of genitalia back and forth even before you got to harassment.

One would assume you could also not look at the pictures.
