GRAAAH Dell why do you make it so difficult to access the BIOS?
Seriously, the last 10 times I've booted it up it has completely skipped the screen that I can access BIOS from.

Hammer F2 or del or F10 or whatever key it is on Dell motherboards. It'll probably pick it up eventually right?

One day you'll be spending fifteen minutes navigating Windows 11 menus to open the cmd prompt and will look back on this with nostalgic eyes.

Except for remote tech support, the Windows Key, it sometimes does something! And the Charms menu SOMETIMES decides it wants to show itself.

I wanted to enjoy one of Urist McStation's fallout rounds.

I haven't played on the server in a long while.

What do I get after a few hours of gameplay?

Apparently SS13 is using up too much internet to /just/ buffer my brother's CSI show on netflix because ya know. And simply because he's younger he yells to get sympathy should my parents come in. Because whenever a child is yelling, they're always being the victim. Nope. :/

I just wish my brother would stop yelling as his only argumentative technique.

Windows Key + R
cmd
Enter.
On Windows 11, that will keystroke sequence will require you to pass a DNA test to verify ownership of the machine before you're allowed to pull up the prompt. The test will take approximately 2 hours to complete, because this is still the future, so it can be much faster than the present. The machine's real owner would have used the unique sequence of icon navigation prompts used to access administrative functions if they were in a hurry, after all.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

The windows key is used in a lot of hotkey setups, though. Windows+P is projector/second monitor mode. Has been for a while now. Windows+F is "find". Have a list.

Speaking of Windows...

One of my brother's computers had a hard-drive that fucked up, so he had to reinstall Windows (8.1) on a new hard drive. At first he tried the 'legal' way.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

and then he tried the 'pirating' method.

That's called percussive maintenance, and should only be applied by a trained professional. We know where to smack and how hard.
