Thought I was making it up, but found the guidelines in Ontario under minimum wage guidelines.

"Travel time, time spent on mandatory training (for existing employees) and, in certain uncommon circumstances, commuting time are considered to be hours of work for minimum wage purposes. Employers can establish different rates for different types of work as long as they are still complying with the minimum wage and overtime pay provisions."

So up here, essentially, they can change your wage and pay you minimum for mandatory training it looks like, but they still have to pay you, and it still counts towards overtime (which kicks in after 40 hours of work per week up here). I'd recommend checking your local minimum wage guidelines too if they try to not pay you. If they do pay you then yay! overtime!

It'll only be a couple day course, I suppose and I'll get tuition reimbursement, apparently.

Gah, never order shit online for Black Friday.

Ordered ~$1100 dollars of computer parts. Claimed to ship on Dec. 1st. Today, the 8th, I check my tracking page and see the last activity on the package as at their Memphis Warehouse, on the 2nd.

Contact Newegg support. Give them the tracking number and read the info off the package tracking page. As soon as I reload the page....why, mysteriously, the system cant find that tracking number, despite me loading up that page not 10 minutes ago!

Customer Support basically shrugs, puts it off on the carrier and says they'll file a claim for me.

Grrrrr... Newegg has never failed me but I think service has been trending downward the last few years as they've gotten more popular. If I end up getting a beat up package full of broken computer parts from USPS or whoever the fuck ships this thing, heads will fucking roll. I promised my old system to someone already and I want to take my new on to my brother's for yuletide christmas gaming. If this build gets set back a fucking month because of all this shit, I'm going to hurt someone.

Heh, reminds me, I got all the mission DLCs for Mafia II in the last sale, and one of the first missions in one of them asks you to go to a point, steal a car, then drive it to a destination on a time limit, while the car is filled with explosives that will explode upon a large enough impact. And made more !!FUN!! by the fact that I insist on using the Realistic driving model instead of Arcade.

Before I FINALLY managed to finish it, the following happened:
- Found and lockpicked the target car and drove it safely, but time limit ran out
- Next time, learned the lesson and sped up. To my surprise, I managed not to explode everything to pieces, and actually saw the destination before the time ran out; accidentally hit the gate wall, managing to lose JUST enough time so that I managed to drive to the destination as the time ran out
- Drove quickly but safely when, out of the blue, a driver on the inner lane decided to switch lanes while I was right next to him while I drove next to a part of the highway without a wall, just with some barriers. Spun around then exploded upon impact with the ground.
- Got to destination in time and as I was turning left into the gate right before the destination, an NPC drove into me at high speed, exploding the car right next to the point where I could accomplish the mission.

I am sick and fucking tired of my brother and mother acting like children, starting arguments with me and each other because there's only two people in this house who know when to shut their fucking mouth and make a compromise, and that's my father and I.

My mother and I kept having a "conversation" about something I've been working on. Unfortunately, my mother was continuously asking questions about the thing I was making and I couldn't get her to stop asking questions, so I had to deal with, while attempting to work on it at the same time because she's inconsiderate like everyone else in this family. My brother also kept butting in to yell at me that my answers to the question were wrong, as if he had any proof that he knew one lick about what I was working on in the first place. I eventually start having a panic attack and yell at him to shut up. Naturally, mom agrees with me and repeats what I said, but doesn't bother to ask me why I was sweating and shaking. Brother takes it completely personally as usual, and my mother and him start having a second argument where my brother protests about how he wasn't butting in at all and he was OBVIOUSLY a part of the conversation from the start. By then my heart rate had lowered to a semi-healthy level, so I tried to tell him that no, he wasn't a part of the conversation, and that he had rudely interrupted me several times. He immediately yelled at me that I was interrupting him, and that I was not a part of this conversation. I try to speak once more, he screams at me to shut up and tells me to stop butting in.

In a matter of a couple minutes, I stopped being in the conversation, my brother broke in and started talking, and ignored him when I told him to be quiet. I tried to retake my place in the conversation and maybe get my brother to stop spewing shit, and I became the aggressor, while my brother literally told me that I was never speaking with my mother and that he had been answering all her questions. I tell him that he was essentially repeating what I had told him to do and he had refused to listen. He starts throwing an even bigger fit, calling me useless, and stupid and yelling SHUT UUUP like he always does when he has no other obnoxious ways to avoid admitting that he's in the wrong and just needs to do a simple thing to stop being in the wrong.

I can't handle the stress of being in arguments like this as often as I am. I don't feel healthy, I don't feel happy, and I don't feel sane. This is why I subconsciously see the human personality as being so simple and immature. This is why I get extremely nervous when someone on the forums is mad at me. I have homicidal fantasies, frequent nightmares, and now panic attacks. Wonderful. It doesn't help that a week feels like like a month now, and waiting to move out is completely agonizing so far. I'm old enough to go to driving school now, but my mother doesn't seem too keen on allowing it, so for now I'm stuck without one ounce of independence. Speaking of independence, that argument wouldn't have happened if my mother had thought to allow me some privacy by allowing me to move my computer out of the living room and back into my room, and maybe even let me put a fucking door up on it so it can be my room instead of being part of the living room.

Let's not take into overgeneralization and to conclude before understanding the whole situation there, mate.
._. By which I mean, the human personality isn't 'simple and immature', but the degree of development which you see may be of such: that doesn't mean they can't mature, however, but there needs to be support.

Talk to your dad over this or other people who could help you out there, maybe? Anyone closely related? School officials (ie Guidance Counselors) who could offer aid?

I think Tiruin makes a good point there. Find someone to talk to.
However mothers will be mothers, my own also tend to ask lots of questions. Even asking very similar questions to which I already answered.

ARGH. I was just seriously called a sheeple by one of my friends for holding a dissenting opinion from them on a topic, where my opinion was that of the seeming majority. I essentially told them to take the stick out of their ass. I was legitimately tingling with rage when I read the sheeple comment. Once I calm down I'm going to have to have a serious conversation with them about not being a stuck up asshole.

Edit: Oh, never mind, I have not right to be upset because they just said I was ACTING like a sheeple, so really, they were saying I'm smart. *Fumes*

Only morons use that term. Time to get a new friend.

IronTomato: I know how panic attacks and anxiety can be. Your family sounds dysfunctional, but not particularly abnormal (they are honestly all dysfunctional.)

It's really important you have someone to talk to about these things, even if it sounds minor, it helps a lot. Like others advised, I say see if you can talk to the guidance counselor or see if your parents will let you go to counseling.

My family communicates by yelling at each other. This was bad growing up. Unfortunately, you can't really change that, you can only change how you manage stress and deal with the situation.

So I'm not saying you are the problem (you're not) but I'd reach out for help so that you are better able to handle the problem.
