Uh, you arent supposed to drink saltwater. A little probably won't hurt you much though.

I didn't swallow. I gargled it a bit and spit it out. And to make sure that doesn't end up in the OOC thread, you may use it in the OOC thread.

Drinking saltwater can't hurt you in moderate quantities, intuitively. It would dehydrate you slightly, but that's all.

It will dehydrate you severely by raising your salt content. You have to drink more significantly more freshwater than you drank saltwater to match it. And can also cause dramatic hallucinations.

Considering how the body interacts with imbibed substances; I think the scenario you're thinking about, Arx, may have other, unmentioned factors there. :P Or there's a difference in use of terms. It could be 'water with salt', or 'seawater'. Both could go under 'saltwater' pretty easily.

If I think my loaf of bread is going to stale or mold before I finish it, I'll throw it in the freezer and use it for toast.

i don't think putting it in the freezer will help with staleness, since it's caused by moisture and all

Air in the freezer is substantially less moist (probably, at least) for the same reason your breath fogs up in the winter - relative moisture is dependent on the temperature, the colder it is, the less water you can fit into the same volume of air.

Freezing bread makes it keep for a long time. I usually have several loaves in the freezer so I don't have to go buy more bread every few days.

My father did this recently, threw an entire loaf of french bread (quasi-baguette) in there.  Did not realize how greasy that stuff is until I tried to eat some cold.

Toast does not care if bread is stale, simply prevents mold and getting even more stale. Plus, if your bread gets super stale and has no mold, crutons!
