Lots of screaming. Mom left without me. Looks like I have the day off then. Not going upstairs. Sounds like her boyfriend is still home.
He's trying to lay claim to everything in the house. Even stuff that my mom or I paid for with our own money, or owned before we moved in with him. He's also claiming all of the dogs. Even the one that we are only looking after for my nan. He says that she doesn't deserve the dog.
Now he wants to charge $200 an hour for 18 hours a day for an entire month longer than he even worked. Why does he think he can charge for work he did on his own house, or that everything within automatically belongs to him? Because his lawyer told him so and that my mom should just accept that.
He also claims that the value of the house has dramatically dropped since they got it. Apparently the owners of a house arguing can drop the value by hundreds of thousands of dollars because of some faulty logic. In truth the value can only have gone up. The place was terrible before. There were rooms that were literally so small that you could not enter them. Halls where a single person would have to squeeze to walk down them. The yard was overgrown with trees, and resembled a small but thick forest.
He said that he doesn't like fighting, and tries to avoid it. In the past five or so years, just about every argument was started by him. Though his idea of arguing is screaming louder than the other person while insulting them and telling them to shut up.
And my mom wants to delay moving for a week.
At least when we do move we won't have to deal with him in person anymore. No more arguments over nothing, no more of him attempting to treat the TV as if it were a person. No more dinners where the only conversation allowed is his half-baked conspiracy theories on how the world will end.
