Fourth instalment of the TFC saga:
'Wait, a server with no whitelist, towny, no need to sign up websites and a decent population? YES!

Wait, can't connect...

Are they... Yep. They're still running .78 instead of .79...'

II/OW already said he would set one up here.

In this day and age, 'new' doesn't cut it anymore.

It also needs to be 'improved'!

What the utter, actual motherfucking SHIT!?

'No, you cannot fucking use our fucking tech support because fuck you you bought the game on Steam. That means you aren't allowed to access the tech support subforum. Please, kindly, go shove a cactus up your ass.

-Paradox'

Yeah, you have to register the game to gain access to the forum, but I think you have to access the forum for that, and even then, it doesn't seem to remember the registry of the game, nio idea.

Paradox has a very weird forum, and its probably the onyl reason Steam!CKII sometimes mentions I have a 'cd key'.

... I can't help but think of that... how's it go? "In the great GUI in my mind, USER ERROR flashed across the sky in giant flaming letters." Something along those lines.

Though yeah, if you're getting annoyed, probably time to step away from whatever you're doing for a day or two. At least a few hours. It basically never actually helps when it comes to computers, barring the rare occasion percussive maintenance works.

What are you even trying to do?

Typically DEP only shuts off a game if it's consuming too much memory. So if you only have, say 2GB available to the system as a whole, it'll eventually kick in.

... have you considered just turning it off until you've done what you want to do?

There's also manual exception stuff. Seems like a nice tutorial, right here.

Because it's not specifically vista causing the problem. I can run CKII just fine on this comp. Well, fine except it running like arse because this comp's a junker, but eh.

Restaurant served me either undercooked or mildly rotten chicken and gave me food poisoning.

I probably should have rejected it when I detected the faintest smell of stinky tofu under the heavy spice that is my parlance, but no, I just had to eat it.

I just made that mistake with Popeyes this weekend. When the "Cajun Rice" smells like an old sock and there's an unidentifiable but unpleasant scent to the chicken, and most of the staff looks like recovering meth addicts, it's probably best to just walk away.

But no, two days of gut twisting instead.

Yes, I can turn it off, but then my PC is open to a number of malware attacks if they got on the PC (My brother got securitytools from one of those URL hijack sites. You can see why I don't want to turn it off), and I can't put the games as an exception due to the retarded 'it's 64-bit, compiled in Vista, or in the Windows directory. By which we mean it's on a computer with Windows installed on it.'
Is it in Program Files? Vista and 7 made me stop installing things in Program Files because it was so locked down.
