Didn't know you TF2'd. Never seen you playing it. Pretty sure you're my Steam friend, due to the Sine Mora thing.

Anyway, yeah, I regard spawn camping as a lowly, cowardly "tactic." Just above aimbotting. Look, I'm all for competition, but sportsmanship should be involved, too. I'm aware that it's rare, but we're better than that, dammit.

My university actually has a riflery class. As well as shot trap, handgun qualification, and even archery.

All of which are hosted off-campus in another county, and the riflery class' "textbook" is issued by the NRA (I'm in said class), as are qualification certificates.

Also, none of our rifles have safeties. Instead, whenever we're carrying them to/from the range or when the range is cold, we have 'clear barrel indicators' - little bits of plastic you stick down the barrel through the action that stick up and are brightly colored.

What type of rifle? My muzzleloader doesn't have a a safety, but by not having a primer inserted it's safe enough to walk around with.

Bolt-action .22.

The fact that it's bolt-action is why the CBI thing makes sense - if it's in, the bolt can't even be closed, much less a round inserted.

Spawn camping is the inevitable consequence of one team being far better than the other. It would be extremely unnatural and forced for the team with the upper hand to just hold back and do nothing instead.

Look, I've seen a lot of underhanded shit from B12ers go on in multiple games, this isn't a one time deal. I don't do shit like spawncamp, even when my team is dominant. There's no reason to cheese, the game should be fun for everyone.

If one team is doing better enough to be spawncamping, choosing not to isn't going to give the other team any better of a chance.

I really can't imagine what other stuff falls under underhanded besides spawncamping. If you're getting spawncamped, it's not because of one or two dudes.

Even if you weren't being spawncamped, you'd still have no fun since your team sucks. I you'd just get killed anyway.
