i see your point so perhaps i should join the ranks of vile cretins who refuse to use basic punctuation

no seriously theres only one sentence theres nowhere to put a full stop
only one sentence theres nowhere to put a full stop
nowhere to put a full stop
... at the end of my sentences.

Commas are also a welcome member of the punctuation family. They make every point stand on it's own, even when it's intimately related to another part of a post.

That's the purpose of a semicolon.

That's the purpose of a semicolon.
Not as intimately involved as a comma. Plus, commas lend themselves to making a sentence sound better, pauses in the proper places.

Yeah; I was being facetious. Plus; can you imagine how weird it would look to have our sentences populated by semicolons; instead of commas?

The problem with commas is that I've heard conflicting information on when they should be used, and I no longer want to try to use them because I might mess up.
FTFY. Maybe.

Even if I didn't, it still looks better.

You could try studying the matter instead of relying solely on hearsay.
Because said hearsay also has its context and foundational basis.

your right thats a large part of my problem i would much rather not use punctuation at all then use it incorrectly. i dont want to look like an idiot for putting something in the wrong place better the small amount of abuse you get for not using it then the massive amount i would get if i used it wrong

Especially since "twisting the truth to benefit them" isn't something PETA is beyond doing.

That doesn't justify twisting the truth about them.

But can you give me an example of an article that says something that PETA didn't do?

The one that I just read turned out to be a more legitimate criticism than I thought. I haven't seen anything else too recently - this is just something I see every once in a while that bugs me.

The last one I saw a month or two ago was a shitty headline. Some unimportant PETA person said something reasonable, and the author took a short phrase out of context to make a quote that sounded more extreme. People sharing it didn't read past the headline and everyone's preconceptions about PETA were confirmed.

I might look for some links tomorrow if I feel like grumbling about this more.

...You assume a ton when there isn't even anything bad in the first place.
First of all, why would you be 'abused' for making mistakes that way. >_> IT IS GRAMMAR.
People make mistakes.
What's the bad part is never trying at all because of the fear of it--it's giving into that fear.

Or your perception, anyway. It seems you see a LOT of bad stuff in trying there, for some reason.
Just do it. You won't learn if you won't do. You won't push forward if you don't move.
Instead of fear the possibility, bypass it by actually doing something.

The assumptions you make there is as if its done intentionally! :V It isn't logical.
C'mon tuypo1. Do that punctuation! :D
