Screw Miranda. It's a 2-on-1 and her team is more than 10 levels over Jake. Oh, and by 2-on-1, it's her 2 against your 1, since Jake only brings three Pokemon with him, two are weak to Fire, and the other gets one-shot too easily. The leaves her to kill two of mine every turn, without being able to take action, and she has a nearly 10-level advantage over me as well.

And that is why I always keep a strict training scheme. No 'mon lower than level x at point y in the game. You can thank Thor for that.

And always scout for new recruits with potential.

Haha, no.

I recall overlevelling my Turtwig to full evolution by the second gym and then some. There was no problem with disobeying, though my memory is fuzzy.

AFAIK, the overleveling thing was to make something or other balanced PvP wise or some shit for PokemonMMO. Here's a thread on the issue, and honestly, one of the main reasons I haven't played in forever.
