My father does this (among many, many other annoying things - and keep in mind, the guy's in his 50's). I think I'm the only one in the house who actually finds it extremely annoying - I don't think my mother minds it, and my brother at least tolerates it.

Just got woken up from an awesome dream just as a big climatic battle was about to happen.
I mean, the enemy army was marching its way up through the canyon towards the castle where most of the dream was set, and its inhabitants- a much smaller force as far as I can remember- were grimly watching from above, prepared to fight for their lives.

My recent post on the 'sad things' thread is quite relevant to this thread.

My computer's (The one I have at home) Hard disk suddenly stopped working after nearly 3 years of service. (I think it's related to the power outage some day ago).
Which means I have lost all my little projects, misc random downloads, save games and such, are now lost forever. (Maybe not the downloadable things.)
And it might take some days before I can get a new one.

This really sucks..
On the other hand.. I might have more to play Wii/U or 3ds games now.

So yeah, I am both saddened and angry at the current turn of events.
Or maybe I'm just annoyed instead of angry, but I have yet to see a "What made you annoyed today." thread.
