Kerbal Space Program. That game.

Both rage and WTF, I've been trying to make a rocket to do some contracts. It has six small liquid fuel thrusters with six small fuel tanks, and that one large but not gigantic solid fuel thruster. In theory, it works perfectly. In practice, it does cart wheels to the left. As far as I can tell, it is completely balanced - there's nothing asymmetrical about it.

WHY U NO WORK!? >:(

I've never encountered this before, though I haven't made any simple rockets like this.
Sorry nenjin. :-[
I promise I'll keep it out of this thread in the future
Yeah, sorry about that.

That reminds me, I should probably try out the new version of KSP. I haven't actually played the game in a long while.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I dunno, a couple pages of [me] abuse leaves that open to debate. :P
It's okay, we love you anyway. And the other offenders. Even if that sort of thing getting out of hand is one of my pet peeves on the forum...

As far as I've seen, Bay12 is collectively a pro at derailing conversations.

And it hardly ever turns into an argument about Hitler.

Unless there's stabbing involved.

The stabbing, to be fair, is usually a result of "it is inevitable" or "MAGMA".

My region's transit website is useless.

It's organized in a list of bus numbers only. You have to already know the bus you need to take, or otherwise click every single link until you find the route you want.

Except the maps that come up are of a largely zoomed out map of the entire region. The map is very simplistic, with little detail other than the route taken being coloured red. The only labels are for major highways, and the map is zoomed too far out to show any details such as side streets.

The map isn't interactive. It's a static image on a PDF that's loaded in the browser. The only other information in the file is the time when the bus leaves or arrives at a major transit station, and not individual stops.

You ARE using symmetry mode right? And turning on SAS? Obvious questions, but important.

Also, simple rockets are the best, at least until you get to the interplanetary stage, then it kinda becomes necessary to do multiple launches and design overcomplicated docking motherships and such.

BFEL still hasn't reached the interplanetary stage :(

I went to Duna in a single-stage rocket. With a modded infinite fuel tank.

Yes symmetry and yes SAS.

* Worldmaster has not reached orbit yet.

Not in this new version, at least.

Apparently its possible to make a "single-stage to anywhere" plane using jet parts and ion engines.

Yes, someone did this. Supposedly they even did it before ion engines got a thrust boost.

I attempted something similar with ions and a RAPIER, but I couldn't get it to work.
