It's a difficult balance. Like, I consider "Laura Bow: The Colonel's Bequest" to be a rather mature game because it includes things like an alcoholic, con artist, infidelity and so on but they're presented in a rather... matter of fact manner. There's no real "OOooh, this is naughty" overtone from the game itself. "Gabriel Knight" series as well are rather mature in theme I think. Well, at least the first one is as I don't really remember the others.

Though, I wouldn't really consider GTA IV to be a mature game. It's serious yes, but the tones more towards action.

Well, "mature" does seem to mean immature most of the time.
Immature approach to subjects that are effective when handled maturely.

What about "great tracts of land" isn't a mature approach? :P

Water, penguin. Water. More water. Dehydration, fixing, etc. Or not getting hungover to begin with.

My laptop keeps randomly not making sound, and there are no apparent causes or other symptoms. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers did nothing. This is quite irritating.

I read that as "faptop".

Anyway, I've been having sound problems lately too, so sympathy. :(

Mm. When it does that, try closing a few things. I've had something similar happen, and it seems to be memory related or... something. Closing the largest memory imprint programs tends to kick it back on at some point. Almost seems like the sound gets stuck or something in one program and then refuses to function anywhere else. Weird stuff, mildly annoying, easy to unstick, if not stop from happening.

I don't understand what it is that can cause people to become so invested in figures in general that they can break down into tears over their favourite pop star "only" selling 2.5 million copies of an album in the middle of a store and beg people to buy it until they are removed by the polis.

Slappadeedoodah to the forehead.

And honestly this is a weird case because they would simultaneous be enough of a superfantard to obsess over things like that but also not think that getting double platinum would be good enough even for a super pop star.

Hmm. I'll have to try that. Thanks.

It wouldn't be so infuriating if not for all diagnostic tools reporting that nothing is wrong.

Got bored so I decided to read about how to deal with game crashes on a mac. Half the answers were "get bootcamp and run it on windows." No. That's not fixing anything.
