An ice tea house on the other hand is perfectly possible and plausible.

Tasty even!

Now you want to make a house out of FORUM MEMBERS!

Disgraceful.

I honestly can't tell you just how disappointed I was to find out that the Tea Party weren't actually a grassroots organization dedicated to spreading the wonders of tea around America. For shame.

proper tea culture made a deda a century ago or so

i will now blame obama for tea being made an inexpensive commodity EXCEPT WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY FUCKING ENJOYABLE then it makes you consider whenever you can live with only two internal organs but in the end you decide that to survive you'd need to eat a lot of spinach and being a sailor is not a path of life that seems very pleasant to you

I have a minor addiction to tea. That Party sounds like the best possible idea. It must be founded to educate Americans in the way of tea! There are other things to teach them, but tea must come first!

This stupid iPod has the battery capacity of a potato.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to making greasy burgers.

Brother inherited Mom's old computer. Wants to play Minecraft. Minecraft already installed. "This program requires Java." Control panel, java. Java claims it doesn't exist. I check. It does indeed exist.

As a seasoned computer tecnician, I am able to determine problem. Computer is dusty piece of shit. Ask Mom if we can connect to internet and redownload Java. Computer uses Windows XP. Because of this, she thinks the computer will instantly get hacked. This is not an exaggeration, it was her exact words. I explain to her this is not how viruses and hacking work, and that the Java website is harmless. "I've been around longer than you have, I know how it works". I would like dearly to believe her, but I'm afraid I was always the one that fixed that same computer after she failed. I tell her this. "The answer is no."

Brother gets mad. I also get mad. Brother can't play Minecraft. Computer stays crap.

Your mother is a fool.

Could you do it anyway without her noticing? Or put it on a memory stick and transfer it across that way, install it manually.

I tried, but it still claims to not exist after I do that. Even the installer doesn't contain anything, it's just a vector for downloading the whole of the program, so there's no real way to install it without connecting to the internet.

I could probably do it without her noticing, but I'm not sure I could do that with a clear conciense. I LOVE MOMMY. ;w;

Maybe just copy over java wholesale? Forget if that works or not. Mainly because I've never actually tried it. But it might be worth a shot.

Probably wouldn't work. Things like Java require adjustments to the registry to work.

Well, if it's worth effort... not like you can't copy over (and appropriately adjust) registry values, too.

This page seems to have a link to a offline installer that you could download then install using a flashdrive.

Uninstall Java and manually hunt down and destroy any scrap of it, then try installing. Also check the environment PATH variable to see if it has Java listed as the correct directory.
