I generally get routed through Dallas or Chicago. Unfortunately, the airports near the three places I am most likely to fly to (Oklahoma City, Hartford, and Pittsburgh) are all second-tier cities that are too far from a hub to catch a ride, but too close to their hubs to really justify getting another plane ticket.

Selling textures on Toribash is a pain in the ass.

I'm trying to make money for a Bay 12 Clan, but whenever I auction a texture I have to put the ending time in GMT. IT'S A REQUIREMENT AND IT'S INCONVENIENT BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO BE IN TWO TIME ZONES AT ONCE.

Adware. Just. Adware.

I spent most of the free time I had today trying to get some of the stuff off of my netbook. Its really annoying. To the point where I'm actually screaming at the computer in frustration. I don't really have a dedicated antivirus for my netbook, which in retrospect is really stupid1. I apparently accidentally got one of those "extra" things that tend to hitchhike with legitimate software downloads. I ended up downloading a couple tools for removing adware and malware and such. After running them a few times, still pops up ads everywhere. Switch browsers, uninstall and reinstall browsers, uninstall everything I don't know about to the point where I'm lucky I didn't remove anything essential and its still there. I finally take a break for supper and run the program ONE MORE FUCKING TIME. So far, it seems to be working.

**Crosses fingers**

1:Actually, if this isn't too off-topic, does anyone have any recommendations for a good free antivirus program? Because this latest fiasco has convinced me getting one of those might be prudent.

My mom has been trying to get me to watch TV.
I don't want to.
I watch for a while, then leave. Maybe she'll get that I don't want to.
She starts forcing me to watch TV series with her.
I leave the room.
She brings me back in.
I get bored and start falling asleep.
She gets angry at me.
I leave again.
She starts looking for movies and asking me about which to watch.
"No, not right now. I don't feel like watching horror right now. Maybe later."
"Yeah, you're right. That's a good movie. We should watch it tomorrow."
I think by this point I've expressed my point clearly.
She gets angry and says there must be something wrong with me because I've acted weird lately.
She's still looking for movies.
I get tired of this and decide to talk straight.
"Mom, I don't want to watch TV right now."
She immediately responds that I only want to be with the computer.

I let you drag me out of whatever I'm doing at 6:00 p.m. every single day because you want to watch TV with me even though I don't enjoy it. Now, today I really don't want to do that, ok? Please just let me do my thing.

Anyways. I go to my bed. Start falling asleep.
Mom calls everyone.

Mom: We're watching a movie, right now.
Sister: Why?
Mom: Because I decided we're watching a movie, OK?

*sigh*
Both your parents seem to think there's something wrong with you. This obviously means you're doing something right. :P
...
In other news, TV is bland, static, and generally irritating. I don't understand why people want to force that misery onto others.

Cmega, I think you should tell your parents what your grievances are instead of trying to let body language give the assumption its clear cut detail that is in your perception. ._.
Lack of communication with the intent in full visibility ...on one side (as its fully visible to you...but not to others) causes a ton of problems today.

... I wish I wasn't so scared of people.
You and me both, Cmega, you and me both...
You ever figure out how to get over that, I'd love to hear about it.

Regardless, I hope you can get over it long enough to have the conversations you need to have.

You're right :/
I know I should just be direct and sincere.
Just... Too many bad memories associated with that.

... I wish I wasn't so scared of people.
Well you could give a clear cut defense of your 'computer use' :P
I mean...while yes, there are bad things coming out from overuse of computers (and their uses [yet as a generality--there's bad things from overuse of...anything. You get my point >_<]), coming from the instances you say--there's some kind of bias which skews concern and protection into limitation.

Just because bad stuffs happened before doesn't mean you can't:
> Learn from em and advance (and reasonably counter them...generally)
> Still do stuff.

Erm, in the context of being direct and sincere anyway. There're lots of people around to help on that matter though.
