Oh God, my internet is so slow. For a 200 meg download it said it would take four hours and was rapidly rising. The worst part is how inconsistent it is. It took thirty seconds to load a youtube page, but a solid three minutes to load a TV Tropes page. I'm not even downloading anything and neither is any of my family.

Thanks for buying me a shitty car that doesn't even run. The nearest place where they're hiring is thirteen miles away. Like hell I'm walking thirteen miles there and back each day. As for getting a ride from you? All of you are fucking unreliable. Doesn't take that long to drive from any of your houses to where I went to school, yet I was sitting in the bathroom puking my guts out for three hours last time I got sick - and you all knew that I was ill and was probably going to need a ride home. You even said you'd be ready! Not to mention every time that you've caused me to be extremely late getting somewhere.

I need to get a job to have money to pay for college books? I have more money than both of my parents combined. Shit, I've been buying food for them most of the past month, and giving them money almost every week for the past two years. Maybe if my stepdad would get off of his ass and get a job, we wouldn't have this problem.

The last time I had a job? My parents took over half the money I made from it. Not borrowed, not ask for. Went in my room and took it when I wasn't home.

You guys want me to help with the expenses? What the hell have I been doing all this time, then? Again, see the stepdad thing. It's his fault we're in this mess to begin with, so bitch at him, not me.

And of course, none of them will even pretend to listen to a word I say.

I feel like I'm the only one in my immediate family that knows how to save money...

Yeah, my brother got a tick bite which looked a lot like Lyme last year, so since then I've been on the lookout for it.

So after half an hour in the shop, my prescription medication came to two and a half times the expected price.
Then upon getting home I discover that the washing machine drain is clogged, and I proceed to, after draining it for half an hour, retrieve what feels like the price of the aforementioned medication in corroded small change from the filter. Plus one key, one bobby pin and a staple. But! There's still a coin stuck in there, because it's larger than the mouth of the tube it's in. I'm as confused as you, don't worry.

Just a bit of food for thought: perhaps you're the only one in your family that isn't paying bills. I'm not saying taking your money is cool. But when you're not actually paying the bills it's easy to assume everyone else is just wasting money/being cheap.

Huh. I was always told to use vegetable oil for that same purpose, since it forms a film over the little fuckers and prevents them from breathing (I think. I am not, by any means, an expert on tick anatomy.)
