Tiruin's so right on this, you're still perfectly understandable~. Besides, there are so many different forms of spoken english that anyone who cares much about speaking it to people outside a very small geographic group needs to be able to understand a wide range of accents.

Do comedy websites strive to be the saddest, lowest-effort pieces of garbage on the internet? Or is that just incidental?

I feel like all their content nowadays is either "Hey, here's some gifs I found on tumblr!" or "Hey, here's a screenshot of a funny tumblr post!" When your entire website fills the same function as having a tumblr, how the fuck do you convince people to give you money?

I mean, I guess it's no better than the olden days of stealing funny pictures and putting your watermark on them, but at least all the funny pictures weren't all drawn from the exact same website.

My happy just got ruined. Just got a call from my mom that she is considering coming over. Which creates a simple matrix of options:

• She comes, I don't sterilize every single thing in the apartment (I cleaned the place up on Sunday, but she WILL find any smallest speck of dust and get pissed off about it - and she absolutely HATES cleaning with a passion, yet insists on doing it daily) - and I get yelled at and possibly cut off from two thirds of my monthly allowance;
• She doesn't come, I spend a whole day cleaning and stressing out for nothing;
• She does come and I have made sure she has nothing to complain about, and the joint efforts of her and my four year old stepsister ensure I can do nothing either fun or productive in the next four days like I planned;
• She doesn't come and I don't bother-- pff, who am I kidding, not gonna happen.
