Grrr, sleep paralysis. Even worse is the feeling that you know it's coming, and the only way to stop it is to get up. But it was 5 in the morning, so that wasn't going to happen.

Gonna respond to this here to stop derailing the Terrified thread.
I was prepared to drop the subject and just go back to bottling up my rage, but alas.

But I thought the Great Music Thread was for discussing great music...
Please, Yoink, for the love of god, stop forcing your opinion of rap onto others. Yes, you dislike it, and yes, you have a right to express it, but this is simply getting obnoxious and borderline flaming. I do think you're a good poster, but if you continue with the constant berating and ad hominem arguments, I won't hesitate to report you.
I will force my opinion on whoever I damn well please.
We're not talking about politics or clothing or alien attacks or human rights or scientific advances or the war on drugs or ending world hunger or any other light-hearted and inconsequential subject here, after all- we're talking about music, one of the few things that really matter in the world.
It also happens to be one of the few topics that can make me really angry. If I have somehow broken the forum's rules in this argument then go ahead and report me, but I'm not about to back down on the subject. Now if you'll excuse me I am going to go get my headphones and listen to some actual music whilst metaphorically looking down my nose at anyone who dares disagree with me. Only metaphorically, mainly because my nose is rather crooked and actually not all that good for looking down.

So you decided to come to the rage thread to pick up the argument? This isn't a dumping ground other thread drama, nor is it a place to fight it out.

Please read the thread rules.

-snip-
You can tell anyone you dislike rap, and you're allowed to dislike it as intense as you wish, but you were getting kinda... obnoxious.

Plus this really isn't the thread for this. Maybe open up a new one? Your avatar is too funny to allow you to be banned ;)

I sometimes joke that after we solve the problems with resources, religion, ethnic strife, etc, we'll be killing each other over music instead.

You're jumping the gun, Yoink.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I'm asking everyone to drop it. If you want to talk at each other about it, do it in PMs.

There is a place, ONE place, in my school called the quiet lounge.  There are four people in it right now, and apparently 2 of them read its name as the "eat food and chew loudly lounge".
