Still holding out for Mass Effect 3 to come to a non-Origin platform :I
It's either that or replay the entire series on a console and I don't want to do that.

I'm going to do the same thing everybody else does: Stay on Steam and complain to marketers about all the games that aren't on Steam until everything is on Steam. Then I will praise Gaben. Then I will complain about Steam.

I'm so pissed off right now. I get food stamps because I'm in a weird situation right now where I need an income and no one wants to hire me.
Part of getting food stamps, or at least the cash part of it, is participating this thing called GROW that's supposed to help you get a job. Well, last month I was supposed to get my ID and do this job readiness class which required my ID, but due to circumstances in which I wasn't able to get my birth certificate, I couldn't get to the class, which was scheduled for the 28th of last month. I've been calling my GROW worker like mad for the past week to ask her to reshedule the class or something and she never answers, despite the message I leave and her office building is ALWAYS FUCKING BUSY.
It's a complete PAIN IN THE ASS to get a hold of these people. Now the cash part of my food stamps is cut off and I'm going to have to go through this whole stupid fucking process to get it reactivated again.

Goddamn horses escaped their pasture last night, and were promptly chased five miles down the power lines (no idea why they chose to follow the power lines) by a pack of coyotes. Only one that actually got hurt is the dumbass mare. Everybody hates her, really, but "hurt" only constitutes having cut herself on a stick, not an actual bite wound. We had to ride them back, but they were too tired to give any shit about being ridden without saddles. Coyotes were still shadowing us and howling the whole way, from the treeline.

I'm getting sick of the constant horse emergencies. I hate horses to begin with.

This is incredibly petty, but... writers (especially fanfic writers): Stop using the word "trademark". It does not mean what you think it means. If I slammed my face into the wall once for every time I saw someone use it when they meant "characteristic" &c. I would have permanent brain damage and no wall.

Walking in the school hallway a second ago. They were walking in front of me, and one proceeded to show how polite he could be:

Guy 1: "Who the fuck's this kid?"

Guy 2: "I don't know, just some random kid."

Guy 1: "He looks like a... Really social guy."

At this point, having an extreme temper on account of events previously described in this thread, I experience a small adrenaline rush and try very hard not to turn around and stick my foot up his ass.

Walking continues, I arrive at the fountain. I drink for a whopping half a second, and then:

Guy 1: I WANNA GET A FUCKING DRINK!

This is just amazing. The teachers promised us that the seniors and sophomores would respect us, unlike before, and then I never get it from anyone, like usual.

And people still can't figure out why I never speak.

Every goddamn season you hear fashion brands yapping about their products being "essential". Well, here's a quick heads-up for you people: they aren't. You know what's essential? Food. Food is fucking essential because without it, you starve and die. Air is also essential, unless you're a fish, in which case it's water - and that's essential for landlubbers too, although we can go without it for about three days. And since we live in a society, clothing is essential, unless you want your naked ass handed to you by the nearest police officer because what the fuck else are they supposed to do when a guy runs around dangling his balls in front of children? But you know this funny thing about clothing? All of it covers you nakedness if used properly. Even the cheap as hell dad jeans/black ill-fitting top combo you see most men around here rocking. You don't need a pair of grey flannel wool trousers - you may want them, and I do, I am a shopping whore just like that- but you sure as hell gonna be okay without them. Office? Even your boss wears a pair of ink-stained khakis. Theatre? The old ladies in the reception are currently runing a public awareness campain to stop people from coming in there in shorts and joggers. Hell, that's a pair of essential trousers in Russia - joggers. It's like a goddamn status symbol, and don't forget to buy the ones with as many stripes as possible (Adidas is an enduring, recognisable classic in this field). But wool trousers? Last time I wore a pair, the waiter tried to speak to me in English. The girl sitting next to me said that I probably don't speak English since I'm obviously Italian. When I answered in Russian, it blew their fucking minds. And don't let me even start on the number of old, ugly gold diggers who threw themselves at me last time I wore a suit. So no, Versache and Gucci and Ralph motherfucking Lauren, your shit is not essential. Please stop using that word.

Audience had a time to ask questions. This is what I asked to them:

" Not everyone on social media is a cyberbully or hacker, you know. There are some people who may be treated badly by their peers and be shy, but on social media they can express themselves and meet new people. What are your thoughts on this?"

This was the answer:

"How do you know the person you're talking to isn't a pedophile?"

No.
Just. No.

I'd have said, "I don't know, are you? How can you prove that you aren't? This is the real world and your debate team apparently has no selection criteria. Which means the Internet is about as unsafe as reality is."

[Algebra Intensifies]

I'm mostly raging about having to represent, in python, the things in the first two that can't be equal to 0. That I had occasion to do this in the first place I actually find pretty amusing.

EDIT: That this happened also makes me confident that I prolly fucked up somewhere, but oh well, we'll see how the results turn out eventually.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

No neckwear is essential in the modern age. Aside from collars, but only if you're a dog or into BDSM. In case you do want to wear ties, though, avoid the shiny ones. They are ugly.

A hemp rope, for some people. But we generally try to avoid that.

My brother got his hand bitten by a dog. I don't mean nipped, I mean pretty seriously lacerated. He's at the hospital now, just to ease any worries.

I ran like hell, since I was a little ahead of him and didn't to suffer the same thing. First time in my life that I have ever actually had to run to avoid bodily injury. Kinda scary
