According to the internet, my solution would be to uninstall Windows 8, illegally acquire Windows 7 and install that, and then upgrade to Windows 8.
How does this even make sense.

I'm pretty sure it says so on the box - an upgrade thing rather than an install from scratch. 's for people upgrading their pc so they can get it cheaper.
