That's mostly me. When I stop vacuuming in diet coke the GDP drops momentarily.

Try the store brands. There's one called Sun Drop that's Dewey but different.

I can safely say that sun drop isn't a store brand. It's just a bit hard to find occasionally and a bit uncommon in convenience stores.

OK, cool. I have no idea who owns what. It's probably all owned by News Corp if you go deep enough anyway.

Owned by the Dr. Pepper-Snapple Group. (Why does that sound sinister?)

Sundrop is a pretty much a Southern brand, like Mellow Yellow. You can find it up the East Coast due to proximity, but by the time you are in the Midwest it's getting sparse. There's a lot of regional brands like that, like Cracker Barrel. I used to know I was heading into the South when Cracker Barrel signs on the interstate became as frequent as McDonalds.

Sun Drop can be had frequently in grocery stores in western Washington State anyway, and fairly often in convenience stores. However we have trouble getting adequate supplies of Cactus Cooler this far north. Apparently the cold harms the cactus on the label somehow. You can make do with a ghetto Cactus Cooler using pineapple soda and orange soda. Why do they not sell these sodas pre-mixed? It is a mystery.

EDIT: One day it was really hot and my dad and I went for a walk to the store. The soles of our shoes were sticking to the melted asphalt. A child had tried to cook an egg on the sidewalk but had died in the attempt before being able to flee tot he garden hose; we passed his bleached ribs on the way. The store had a soda machine out front that dispensed the store's brand of soda, for 25 cents a can. Dad plugged in the quarter and pushed coke: out came a diet. I said I'd take that one. He put in a second quarter and pushed the other "coke" button, and out came a strawberry soda. He laughed and we walked home drinking our sodas - but something happened to him. Because it was so hot and he was so thirsty, drinking this strawberry soda made him develop a strong taste for strawberry soda! He started buying it all the time. The flavor waned years later but anytime I go over there to visit I half expect a 12-pack of those things to be on the counter.

It's actually owned by Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. I have no idea what possessed them to name their company that, but there it is. And the weird thing is that I knew this before any conversation about soda came up in the lower boards because I looked up Sun Drop after seeing it at work. (I had encountered Sun Drop many times before this and have drunk it several times, but for some reason I decided I wanted to know more about it.)

EDIT: Ninja'd during a 504.

I knew they had a group thing with Canada Dry but I didn't know they included Sun Drop.

Ugh. Had to get fit for a respirator, and they use a solution of Sodium Saccharin in water to test the seal. You put your respirator on, and put a bigger hood over your head, and they spray the solution in. Now my face tastes like sugar, and not the good kind.

Might I inquire as to why you require a respirator?

edit: Because paying attention to the driving is so passé.

Why do I get the feeling this would just make vehicles more expensive, and cause drivers to become lazier? It keeps happening.

Anti-lock brakes? People don't know how to brake properly anymore.
Electric throttle control? Less tactile feedback and a stupid delay.
Bigger headrests? Bigger blind spot.
Noise reduction? You just cut out half of your information input.
Brighter headlights angled higher? Now you are blinding other drivers.

And then there's how a lot of these systems are much more difficult (and expensive) to repair. Know how it's easier to just trash messed up electronics than to repair them? Cars are increasingly going down that road.
