Why would SimCity need nude mods? Aren't the people so tiny that you wouldn't be able to see anything anyway?

Sorta-ninja'd

Doesn't matter how tiny they are, they'd make nude mods anyway.

I saw one LPer had a city with a kind of squished gumdrop shape, and used that as his elevated monorail line. I think a rounded-corners square might work better. It really seems like non-square roads cause huge waste.

EA's official modding policy on SimCity.

Let me sum it up for you:

1. No mods that change gameplay (!!) or affect multiplayer.
2. No mods that break the ESRB rating of the game (!!).
3. No modification of code.
4. Follow our EULA.
5. We reserve the right to ban you for using mods.
So basically:
1. Sim City is an online game, we already gave away the old not-online one to you. Mod that instead.
2. Follow our EULA.
3. We reserve the right to ban you for using mods.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Clearly, you need to offer a competative service that has an EULA that you specify.

Eg, emulation of the cimcity multiplayer server. (But then they will probably try to hammer your hole with the DMCA, claiming that emulating the server breaks a licensing protection system, the way blizzard did with bnetd.)

On a related note, how can there be an open transport tycoon clone of transport tycoon... but not an open clone of sim city?

I ask you: what's the point in showing up for a delivery early if they make you wait until you're late and eat up your drive time to the point that, even if you got unloaded RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND, you still can't actually get anywhere and will have to park on the sidewalk for the night?

Cuz that's what I'm asking myself.

If you don't, you will get nasty marks in your deivery record?

The better question, is why people who are expecting to ship a delivery feel it is OK to delay the delivery, by wasting the driver's time when he makes an effort to arrive in a punctual and responsible manner?

(Related question: why do companies making and receiving deliveries by rail feel it is acceptable to have their delivery trains arrive with 200+ cars connected, and thus block 3 intersections while they move the train around to get at individual cars at pickup/dropoff, when THERE IS A RAILYARD 1 BLOCK AWAY (<--use satellite view) that they can use to keep their delivery car lineup short enough to block 0 intersections? Because that happens to me as a commuter many times a week. The train ENTERS from the railyard. Passes the delivery point with the engine, makes 2 90 degree turns, and blocks 3 intersections simultaneously while it inches back and forth at the pickup/delivery point for a local plastics company.)

While I can't speak for train operators, sometimes driving trucks requires you to block traffic, even if only for a few seconds, to do the job safely and correctly. Sometimes that means swinging wide to take up multiple lanes. Sometimes you might block a street to back into a difficult spot. Point is, maybe there's a reason the train yard isn't an option?

More rage: Because of the delays here, I am now late to pick up my next assignment and will almost certainly be late delivering. My boss should recognize that there was nothing I could do (indeed, he probably shouldn't have given me the assignment in the first place), but it still stings.

EVERY MOD CHANGES GAMEPLAY. THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MODS.

Yes and no.

A texture replacement mod changes game experience, but not the play mechanic.
It is still a mod.

Most mods are created to address some percieved imperfections with the game. This includes play mechanics. EA has banned the game mechanics mods, not the texture replacement ones, except where naughty pixels are present.

Clearly, they are concerned about the permanent scarring that young and impressionable players might have upon seeing a slightly maroon colored pixel surrounded by 8 slightly pink ones-- enough so that they feel vindicated in banning people for putting maroon pixels into such a clearly degenerate position.

Hrm? No, no. Some are purely aesthetic. Strictly visual and/or aural, with zero gameplay changes. Hell, I'd half wager a majority of mods are just that. Not gameplay related at all.

I've decided to just give up on Bogleech. Now he's insulting people because they don't like a Pokemon that he likes. Seriously. He's that immature. Apparently he just can't accept that there are people who have different opinions than he does.
FAKEEDIT: and now he's calling GTA sexist.
