It's difficult for the mouth to go right from 'm' to 't' in my experience, so you generally get a natural 'p' sound as you attempt it.

Some people seem to pronounce it with a p but it doesn't have one. Just like some people pronounce "both" with an l.
Both with an l? How's that sound?

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

So much ice. The driveway's iced over again and there's icy spears of death hanging from the roof, all around the house.

And I have to deal with it. With a plastic shovel. It won't come up. I got some of it, but most of it is stuck pretty good. Eventually I just poured salt on it instead.

There's still some ice hanging above the garage door because I will get in serious trouble if I knock it down and it scratches a car.

Also, it's somehow my fault that the big dogs ate all the little dog's food, even though it happened in front of my mom's boyfriend and he didn't bother to stop it.

E: And now steam is downloading a 1.7GB patch for Vindictus. At ~90 kb/s. And it's slowed my computer to a crawl.

Damnit.

Load up Fallout Tactics to get the first mission started and of course 'Take Screenshot' is Print Screen and me being on a goddamn laptop, I can't do it so now I'll have to do some convoluted thing to either get it into windowed mode or get a way to rebind it without doing something more convoluted than the rebind key config files because it isn't there.

... what kinda' laptop doesn't have a print screen button? I mean, it's a two button press on this thing (function key + home), but it's there.

WELL CRISIS AVERTED.

EDIT: Home button is the windows button right. Apologies if it's obvious but at the moment, I'm not thinking at the best level of thinking.

Home is the key that says "home".

... home is. The home button. Y'know, page up, page down, end, home. As putnam says. Windows button is, well, the windows key.

Mind you, it might not be the same on whatever rig you've got. Usually laptops have a fn (function) key or equivalent, which you hold like ctrl or alt to use... whatever the laptop uses. There's usually a little symbol or whatever under normal keys telling you which is which. My home key has home and then a little box with "prt sc" (print screen) in it, on it. I hold fn and press home and, viola, print screen. Holding alt down too is optional but often desired!

Most laptops also have an option to flip the functionality of the fn keys, so that you have F1-F12, PrtSc, etc. as the defaults like a normal person, instead of the useless multimedia crap.

I, uh. Actually, on this one, all the useless multimedia crap is the stuff you need to press fn for. Like, print screen, pause, and break is about the only things I'd consider using that aren't default, and they're "under" the home and page up/down buttons, over on the number pad. Think the only thing beyond those I'd actually consider using is the one that swaps monitor focus, if I want to go dual-screen (which is the silliest thing on a laptop, but been there, done that) or the primary screen breaks (been, done) and a monitor needs to be plugged in to use th'comp. Maybe the sleep button, too, I'unno.

For all the other complaints I might have about this lappie, the keyboard setup's mostly fairly solid (except for the tiny ass arrow keys, but I usually just use the numpad anyway so whatever.).

A particularly dumb Homeroom classmate is doing a project on Call of Duty to convince the teacher it's educational, just so he can put up some poster in our room.

He named it "The Thrill of War."
