I'm taking this from real life.
When me and my now-wife were hanging out in high school, we had a conversation about possibly dating, and she said she didn't like the idea of it because she valued our friendship too much. She said that if it didn't work out, she didn't want to run the risk of our relationship being alienated and us not being able to be friends.
What I'm trying to say is that maybe that person "friendzoned" him our of a concern for their friendship.

But in my example, she did later change her mind, but that's not the reason I still hung out with her, I did that because I honestly enjoyed being around her, in a friendly way.

My internet appears to be totally dead except for Bay12. Every other site I check on won't load, but this one's working perfectly. This is the first time this has ever happened.

EDIT: Still going on. Seriously, this is the weirdest my internet has acted in, like, ever. What the hell am I supposed to do? Is there something special about the B12 forum server that explains why it works when even Google and Wikipedia won't for me? In hindsight I may as well have put this in the WTF thread.

EDIT 2: Okay, it appears to be resolved now. Still, what?

It could very well be that she views it as "afraid of losing you as a friend" and not "don't want to date".

I doubt it. I especially don't like that thought because it makes people fear friendship with those of the gender they like, which is a shitty outlook on life.

My jaw is killing me. I think I have some sort of ear infection, but the right joint of my jaw is incredibly painful. Can't eat or talk, drugged up on painkillers and alcohol... Actually it might have been a bad idea to mix those two.

*raises hand* That... maybe? Would recommend doctor, but that almost sounds kinda' like the same symptoms I was getting with a sinus headache. Thought I had an ungodly toothache, turned out it... wasn't. Pain all up and down one side of my face, particularly concentrated in the jaw and temple. Maybe try something over the counter tailored for that, if it's an option. Or go see a doctor. _{Consult someone who actually knows what the hell they're talking about and can gauge symptoms in person.}

Painkillers and alcohol together probably are a bad idea, though. Most pain meds I've seen pretty specifically state "Do not drink while taking this"... couldn't say why, though. My thought process regarding medical stuff tends to start and stop at "follow directions", once the second opinion and whatnot stuff is taken care of. One pays out ass for expertise, one takes said advice. Otherwise no grounds for lawsuit if advice goes tits up, haha!

Sounds like the DNS server was unresponsive. I had that on my laptop a couple of days ago. Basically, the server was answering to your computer's requests to be directed to other websites. If you were already connected to the DF forums, then it doesn't need to ask the DNS server for the address and so can navigate about the site.
