I cut my finger today. To the bone. It wasn't a downward, perpendicular angle cut either. Oh heavens no, that would be EASY to deal with.  I cut myself laterally along the top half of my index finger, sort of in line with the corner of my cuticle, but starting halfway on the second segment, going over my third knuckle joint (The tip of my finger) and ending just before the cuticle of my finger begins. I also cut it sort of like this:

I cut myself in almost the same angle as the upper right line but slightly shallower to the right, if the center-bottom line was the bottom of my finger. I basically filleted the upper right half of the end of my finger.

I was cutting at a bad angle. I had my hand wrapped around the thing I was cutting, (It was a cylinder) and I was cutting downwards. Basically, I am an idiot.

Hans, the "oww" I'm imagining from that is, loud, to say the least. I'm cringing thinking of it. And I thought stapling my thumb was unpleasant.

First I wrapped it in paper towels. The cheap brown kind. Ouch. Then, I cleaned it, butterfly-bandaged it, and taped gauze to it. Then, just now, I took off the wrappings, and put a new butterfly bandage on, then put on two band-aids to hold it together. It doesn't look so bad, but that's because it's been held together tightly for about four hours now. I know if I pulled it apart (Oh god ow no.) it would go all the way to the bone.

Oof. I stapled my index finger once. You shouldn't put your hand under a stapler and lean on it, which was what I did, because I was being a doofus.

...It makes me rage thinking about the reaction that the teacher gave me. WHICH WAS NO REACTION AT ALL.

When you hear a loud "click" and then someone shouts, and then later you hear him growling as he slowly wiggles something out of his finger, it's time to look up from your computer.

I was considering this for Tuesday, when I have to go back to work. I think I'll sugerglue it and put one of those finger condoms on it.
