It all depends on how good and aggressive you play.

If you suck at soccer, the worst that can happen is a ball hitting you in the face. With American football, it's a ball hitting you in the face, followed by the rest of the enemy team.
+1

(american) Football is far and away the most injury-inducing sport.
Probably because there's no limits on who you can tackle. Seriously what's up with that?
There are certain situations where there are restrictions on certain kinds of contact.

Can't hold, can't grab facemasks, no punching/kicking etc, and generally, the vast majority of tackling happens on the snap, when the offensive and defensive lines slam into each other and try to either hold the others in place or push past to tackle the quarterback. A tackle from one foot away with no built up speed into someone else who is also tackling at the same distance/speed is not very dangerous. Sure, you CAN get hurt, but it's not very likely when compared to getting tackled low while running at top speed.

Yeah, no. Broken bones and torn muscles are NOT uncommon in Soccer. Football certainly leads for injuries overall because of the preponderance of concussions, but soccer is certainly no slouch.

(Though personally I've found volleyball to be more dangerous than either, heh)

I think Soccer actually leads for "deaths on field" as well, beating out Hockey by about 35x.
Considering hockey punks have killed people getting nailed in the head i don't think so.

Don't blame America, blame debt-based economies.

America, why are you so fucking stupid?

Nobody's gonna come off well. NOBODY. WHY do your politicians insist they are on the good side ALL THE TIME when all you're doing is being obstructive morons!?

I don't know about the other side, but my preferred politicians are certainly fighting for the good of the nation. How dare you insinuate they're obstructive morons! The other side's being the morons!

I'm also blaming America (as in, the government) because they could raise the debt ceiling and thus stop the world economy going to hell, but instead, they act like three year olds flinging sand at each other.
In that case, you should probably blame the Tea Party. This only became an issue after they started their suicide caucus.

The Democrats and Moderate Republicans backing down would essentially mean allowing the Tea Party to make major changes to American law every few months to a year.

I mean, if you want people like that running the superpower regardless of electoral winners...

It's the best option. Eventually what suffering they are causing will catch up with them electorally.

They'll never accept they aren't right because they're extremists, but if polled enough against it might make them fear for their jobs.
