Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can find a picture from the moon, of an astronaut and the earth in the same photo?
Something like this?

Probably not gonna find an Apollo image like that as this would have to be done during Lunar night, which to the best of my knowledge had no survace EVA.

The image still loads even if you don't open the spoiler, which can crash some people's browsers or eat up limited bandwidth. Links are better for ohmygodsofreakingbig images like that one :P

You know, I never saw any evidence that conflicker actually did anything meaningful to anybody.

yeah, the dangers it posed were hugely overblown but it was very good at disabling antivirus software, and infiltration in general, during the relevant time period

hence the reference.

AFAIK, it slowly "evolved" over multiple stages, each with their own behavior and quite good at the advoiding of security measures (mainly due to the fact that it used pretty much every vulnerability or spreading tactic available over different variants, thus being harder to catch), and with it's last "stage" it would drop a botnet worm and a rogue AV.

Why is it impossible to find cool wallpapers in standard resolutions? If anybody owns a display in 960:566, 768:908 or 512:613, please let me know so I can smack you and tell you to quit making wallpapers that only fit your stupid monitor. It's especially frustrating to find a really cool wallpaper that I like, only to find that it fits the creator's demented mind and nothing else.

It's worst when you have a really large resolution monitor.  Most wallpapers you find listed at 2560x1600 are really lower res images that somebody took 5 seconds to scale up, seemingly unaware that the result looks horrible.

Oh, no, they know. They also know that there's a "stretch" option for background images and it's basically the same useless thing.
Grr.
