Our goddamn bosses. They want to cut costs but they have us come in for a "mandatory" meeting that does nothing but display their "progress". It cost them around five thousand dollars in wages to have us sit there for an hour and twenty minutes. And they're doing another one this afternoon. Our city is run by idiots.

Kudos to the government shutdown, which I learned recently the hard and especially obnoxious way; on my way to the nearby national park just to go galavanting and unwind for a bit, and maybe take a walk on a mostly-empty endless looking beach for a good chunk of the day, I noticed at the front gate (as did a few other equally disappointed visitors learned like I did) that a piece of paper posted on the window stated that "Due to the government shutdown, this park is closed."

Doesn't help that I also recently paid for an annual pass for that place either, in order to truly enjoy it with my moped.
