Problem is, even on Bay12, one of the fairest and nicest places on the internet I've ever seen, there is still 'cliques' of posters who support each other no matter what.
I would guess mainly from the friendships that have been made here. Such as Twi and I have gotten really close and he's like a brother to me. Sometimes you gotta stand up for your friends even if they're in the wrong, even though it's not morally right all the time.
Of course, but part of friendship is giving those friends a swift kick up the arse when they need it.
That's how you might view it. I personally don't.

Bah, don't bother with them. Those school sponsored events are complete and utter bullshit, presided over by full-of-themselves teachers and their favourite little bootlicking students. Just focus on the schoolwork, not the retarded distractions they throw at you.
By that I mean a bunch of dances and stuff which apparently 90% of the school's going to, but I wasn't planning on going anyhow.
I didn't go to any of the dances or formals or shit when I was in HS. Hell, once they made this banner thing and everyone had to write a goodbye thing on it. I wrote "Hallelujah, I don't have to deal with you lot anymore."

You know what... Lets just add ANY forced school function to the list.

All the worst times in my life was when I went on school trips. The Camping trip and the "Out of State" trip both went terribly and I never want to do them again.

The thing is, that if they hear you don't want to do it... they don't leave it at that. They make a point to make you go.
Yeah, it's a bitch. And if you absolutely refuse, they sit you down with a counsellor to talk about how 'you're settling in' and 'socialisation'. Fuck that noise.

And lets just add Gamerlord if you do manage to get out of it.

You are now in all day detention. They won't call it detention, but that is what it is.

I'm personally a little too soft to do that, really.

In that case I'm a wise friend to many people if smoking counts as looking like shit.

Goodness, that friend... Is really judgmental and not good for you.

No. That friend legitimately cares about me enough to want me to improve and will stop at nothing to help me do so. I do the same for him and the other friend I have like this. We are inseparable buddies.

People today seem so unwilling to take or give blunt, constructive criticism that it's difficult to find people who will both take a bullet for you and slap a gun out of your hand. I'm glad to have friends that aren't just hugboxes that reaffirm all my poor opinions about the world.

Yup. My closest friends all know that I will equally give my life for them and beat the shit out of them. And they will do the same for me. Well, the second part at least.

Okay.

Hey guys, making sexual assault jokes doesn't make girls like you any better.  It helps put you on their list of people not to date.  Yes, we have those lists, and yes, we share them around.  It doesn't matter how hot, rich, smart, or anything else you are, that list means you're vetoed until such a time when you've demonstrated a sincere display of changed character.

So yeah, you look like shit.  Maybe you want to do something about it.

I think the topic has nothing to do with that any more. I even said it was a problematic topic.

I'd be willing to slap a gun out of someones hand. Which I've had to do more than once, sadly.. and to take a bullet? Depends on the person. Though I wouldn't fucking beat up my friends because they need to get better.

It's a metaphor.
