I heard news Square was going under, not sure if their flagship is sinking or not, but if it goes down wrong then my hopes of ever seeing Front Mission, a FUCKING GREAT IP, FILLED WITH THE HORRORS OF HUMANITY, REALISTICALLY-SIZED MECHS, and GREAT TURN BASED STRATEGY, come to America.

Front Mission 1st on the DS was FANTASTIC and it was basically a slightly updated SNES game.

Front Mission Evolved looked nice but all the text was super small, the multiplayer was bad, the marketing was shit and no one bought it, and the story had a few annoying things such as restricting leg parts for the final boss as well as there being a 50-year timeskip between FM1-5 and Evolved.

And we might never see the other four. Damnit. We need mech games.

Why does America hate mecha? Grown Ups II did better than Pacific Rim. My country is filled with idiots.

Yeah but unlike a lot of things where a great company goes under because they made good games that just didn't sell...

AT LEAST Square is going under for making a lot of really huge terrible moves that could be seen from space.

I have to admit... I'm not really a fan of giant mechs...

Awww.

I like giant mechs that look like animals or monsters, but not so much giant mechs that look like people.

BTW Frumple, in hybrids there is an order to names based on who the mother is and who the father is.

Male name first, female name second. See: Grolar and Pizzly bears.

So, the question is: Which garment is the mom?

Yeah, I need some interesting shapes.  Watching guns shooting and swords swinging isn't any more exciting if the person doing it is really big and made of metal plates.  Even less so, because there's less environment to factor (it's only there to crumble), and slower, more limited motions.

The one setting that actually made Mechs make sense was MechWarrior (or Robotec I believe was its name)

Why? Because the laws of physics worked differently. Mechs in that universe WERE one of the most effective ways to fight... and you know what? They still used tanks, planes, and helicopters.

Note: For those who don't know... Vehicles in the MechWarrior universe have a HUGE weakness, in that they are disabled incredibly easily. Their advantage is mostly that they are cheap.

Why yes!  Do you need some funding for this... Metal gear?!

Please... ANYONE can make a Metal Gear. Every single person. It has actually become nothing special as the series went on.
