I'm pissed about first-time Game Dev Clients asking for 2 months of 2-4 hours of work per day, and believing $70 is a completely fair commission. You know, rather than ridiculous and insane.

I am very much ready for the day when I have enough regular clients that I don't have to deal with that kind of crap.

For future reference: It's everyone's responsibility to communicate accurately when speaking to others. Other people have no responsibility (and in most cases, no ability) to peer into your head, and understand what you did and did not mean. If they respond with "Hey, what you said was actually really insulting to me! Please don't say that!" It's not their fault that they were insulted, it's yours. And you should apologize to them, and explain what you actually meant, shake on it, and then you can both move on... hopefully each with a better understanding of how to communicate effectively.

To bring this back in line, what made me rage and hate and seethe today?

Why, the wonderful climate and summer weather my town is so known for. It was 43 degrees Celsius today, the town was deserted, everybody fled to the seaside, mountains, lakes, whatever. They're saying it might get hotter tomorrow, which means more rage since it's messing up everything.

Suddenly you have to think twice if you really want to take that walk or go have a drink with some friends because you need to ask yourself, is it worth it to lose a litre of liquid just for a cup of coffe?
To say nothing of what it does with my sleep schedule, since my room is very small and not well positioned for the AC to do it's magic it's one of the hottest rooms in the flat, that means staying up late because it's too damn hot to sleep and waking up very early because it's too damn hot to sleep.

you might want to consider putting a lot of ice in a bucket and putting a styrofoam _{don't know why i always reference styrofoam lids} lid on top and cutting a hole in the lid and putting a fan in there blowing roomwards (or outbucketwards) and replacing the ice as necessary

it once helped me get room temperature from 38 to around 26 celsius but you needed to replace the ice often so i hope you have a good freezer. barring that, there's a myriad of other methods on ~the internet~

I've been endlessly infuriated by the local teens driving by in their tiny little geo metros with their music blaring and the bass up high enough to convince an elephant they want to have hot, sweaty sex in the street.*

I either need to find a bull elephant and turn it loose at the intersection, or some diabolical way to cause radios in the area to unswervingly play something that will drive them insane/publicly humiliate them.

*(I have absolutely no evidence to support the idea that elephants are regularly aroused by extremely obnoxious, loud, low-frequency sounds. Maybe they'll crush the car or something.)
