Of course they're robbed. Who merely 'borrows' from a pencil case, especially since they didn't know who the owner was? =_= You seem to make an effort to view things too positively :I
Yes, yes she does.

Well, now my sore throat, going for nearly two weeks, has turned into a constant runny nose. I went to the doctor, who prescribed a nasal spray that my insurance doesn't cover and costs way too much to buy. I got an OTC nasal spray that doesn't seem to do anything but make my nose burn for a while after using it.

I am also getting tired of my stepdad's stupid shit. The other day, someone had apparently left the light on the bathroom(first thing to check to see if someone is in there). My stepdad, having need to use the bathroom, decides he has to go so bad that he doesn't knock to ask whoever was in there(there was nobody) to hurry up, but instead goes into the basement and shuts off the circuit breaker to the entire house without warning. I lately found out that he assumed that I was in there taking a shower, when in fact I was waiting to go in because I too thought there was someone in there and was waiting politely for them to finish.

The Realfeel out there today is 108 degrees Fahrenheit, the hottest day of the NY Heat wave so far. IT IS OFFICIALLY, TOO FUCKING HOT. I mean really, people are collapsing like flies! Ambulances and EMTs everywhere. My mom almost collapsed herself. Even in the Upper East Side people are ripping off fire hydrant lids.

It's funny, though. I find it nicer outside than it does in my room, a room that has two windows in the back corner and are often blocked with blankets and clothing because my sister is a slob.

For some reason, my internet (download is the only measure I have right now) has dropped from a steady 1.2 Mb to a very wildly vacillating range of 200 kb to 900 kb. Sort of pissing me off.

>Goes to Friday Night Magic for the Standard tournament

At least my mistakenly-grabbed deck was legal, and generally pretty solid, but now I'll have to wait till August to see if I can win games with milling. (Pretty sure I can't)

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

In the online class I'm taking, the edit submission button is placed right next to submit assignment.  And the prompts for "Are you sure you want to do this?" are the same for both.  For economics I had to edit it three times to add all the files I needed to.  I think you can see where I'm going with this.  Sent my instructor an E-Mail so hopefully I might be able to sort this out.  Otherwise the most I can make will be a 70.

The sad part was that at the beginning of the year they were at separate parts of the page.  Aren't updates supposed to IMPROVE things?
Economics teacher reverted submission page from "Submitted" to "Draft" so I could add essay.  Which is good because it was actually 50% of the assignment, not 30%

You think that's bad? I wish you could see the kind of software we use at the hospital for the informatized clinical history. "Low-quality programs improvised from scratch in the late nineties and with bare minimum patches through the years" is a good way to define it.

Not to mention that we share a network with the local tax office. Meaning that during campaigns of declaration of income it suddenly becomes harder to actually work.

Speaking of shitty networking, spent 2 hours on a client whose network went full retard by forgetting her computer exists while in a middle of a database read completely trashing the tables.
